In terms of risng transfer fees i do agree Chelsea/City and the other big European teams have caused that. If we want to see true corruption and an example of two teams ruining a league tho then we should just look at Real Madrid and Barcelona.

That table kinda proves my point, Chelsea/City clearly at top then United/Liverpool are double of Spurs and Spurs 2-4 or more times than some of the other teams
The table proves the scale and sadly shows what am impact Money has. Man U (pre American tossers) spent more than anyone else but it was not all debt. They have the world wide support and commercial income that allowed them to shatter transfer fees. It is the same with Liverpool and would be for us if we were not paying off the stadium. City and Chelsea have not had the gradual build up to be able to spend that kind of money they have just been handed it on a plate.

Except for the "us beating them" thing. We were gash in the second half though, they were actually better against us when they had 10 men.

I personally think United don't need Van Gaal based on that performance. Keep Giggs!

What against a poor Norwich team? You are funny cal.

Giggs would probably do a fair job, but he'd lose a lot too. Need experience now, and a succession plan to giggs in a few years.Still he could prove us all wrong and storm the next three games

I quite like the idea of Van Gaal coming for 5-6 years with a slow transition to Giggs. We'll see though.

To this day I still think the best thing that could have happened is if Quieroz had stayed on and Fergie had handed power off to him.

Proves that Moyes had lost the players they looked more up for that with Giggs than they ever did for Moyes. Player power :(

I don't agree with that fully, Norwich were poor and all giggs did was ask the players to go for it, we still looked poor and against a better team wouldn't have done well.

Van Gaal gets much of the credit for the foundation of the Bayern team that heynckes turned into a beast. Give hima couple of years to do the same at Utd then let Giggs/whoever reap the rewards.

I wouldn't take a 4.0 win over Norwich as any test of Giggs really. I still think that one day he will be the manager.

I think he would do well to be deputy manager for a few years then move up later.

Liverpool unchanged today from last week, I guess that's the perks of playing once a week ;)

Hmm well it is a ok team although I'm more concerned about Eto'o and Hazard for the return leg of the CL, Cahill being given a rest it seems or might imply we really need him for the return leg too and thus Terry won't make it.

Think Eto'o's knee was said to only be a minor irritation so his absence is probably just precaution on his fitness, I'm guessing if Hazard travelled to Spain he must've been on the right track.

Good to see Van Ginkel back in the squad though after his ACL surgery near the beginning of the season

Yeah but I was hoping just an appearance on the bench might give an impression they were nearly ready for return ;)

Plenty of time for replays with all this bullshit time wasting. I'm going for 6 minutes injury time minimum.
