I think it did only just but both players were already going down.
I though there was no contact but it looks like his trailing leg catching his standing leg. Nailed on modern day penalty.

Fair result considering the chavs should have been down to 10 men.

I think what annoyed me was after our first goal the Chelsea players just seem to think turning up means they should win and seemed to relax too much, they keep gaining a whiff of arrogance at times which is normally when they get counter punched. I suspect there will be some more changes to our roster over the summer, quite frankly we've got some key weaknesses and I really hope Torres goes some where warmer.

A very Arsenal like performance:

62/38% Possession
31 vs 7 Shots
15 vs 3 on target

but as I used to say to Arsenal fans, doesn't matter if you don't score.

Looking at the table nothing has changed.... people getting carried away. Liverpool still need at least a draw from Chelsea and to win the other 3, same as before.

If Chelsea beat Liverpool and we win our other 3, and Mancity win all of their remaining games then we will be equal on points, and currently they have a better goal difference by 3. City's slip up again Sunderland means we can afford to draw with Chelsea, Chelsea's slip up means nothing. Still have to draw.

Looks like he goes for his leg but as he's looking the other way I'd say it's jsut bad luck.

Liverpool can afford to lose vs the chavs and still win the prem.

If Liverpool win by a decent margin tomorrow then I think they would have to implode not to win the prem now. The way they are consistently playing at the moment I don't think there is much chance of that. There only slip up in the last 10+ games was against West ham and they still won.

With our strike force you really are going to find it hard to lose to us and even if you did you'll have to lose elsewhere as well.

No they can't and yes I am ;)

City have 5 games to go and can get 86 points
Liverpool have 4 games to go and can get 89 points

City have a superior goal difference as it stands (which will obviously increase if they win the games)

Tell me again how I'm wrong ;)

I actually hope Liverpool lose tomorrow, best season in years.

Oy! Out of the top 3 I would prefer Liverpool to win it but I don't want them to do it until the last week.

Undid rating as I agree with the edit :p but if we lose to chelsea, which is plausable, we have to rely on goal difference, City also have some easy games (but they have to travel to Goodison as well) At the moment we would have to make up at least 4 goals on goal difference and that's assuming they only win their game in hand by 1 goal... not really an implosion. Must get a draw against Chelsea, or see City slip up.

Paul Mersons Prediction for the Chelsea match was 2-0 to Chelsea

"Sunderland have to win, a draw isn't any good. They're a bag of Revels. One minute they're alright - they were unlucky at Man City - then you watch them at Tottenham. They're not going to Chelsea and scoring two goals".

Who'd be a pundit hahaha

He stuck his leg out towards the defender looking for the contact. No contact from the defender - no pen. Can see why the Chelski bench were so upset. Hope they take a look at Rameires forearm smash. He deserves another fine/rest for that move.

There was contact, just not the taking out kind, he steps on his leg and kind of slips on him... Harsh pen but no shits given ;)

It wouldn't have happened if the Chelsea staff hadn't been instructed to over water the pitch.

@Embattle Why the facepalm? Everything I said in my post is solid fact, it's not an opinion it's just maths. If City win all their games and Liverpool lose to Chelsea, odds are City will win on Goal difference.

Once again, being a twat and diverting what the papers will write away from his loss.

The facepalm is for the usual annoying nature of LP fans whether they are gloating over ancient victories or really being dumb enough to try and make out they are the underdogs when playing at home with the best strike force in the league against one of the worst strike forces in the league at the same time as not even having to play European games, do you really think any one else buys it when talking about the Liverpool vs Chelsea game.

To be fair Liverpool are due some gloating, they haven't bought the title like City and Chelsea "little horse lol" have (if) they win it, it will be down to playing some outstanding, entertaining football.

Yet that isn't true, which isn't my main gripe in my previous post in any case.

But it is, their net spend is pretty small. They got Sturridge as a cheap (12 mil?) cast off from the chavs, they got Suarez as an absolute steal. Sell Clown boy donkey legs to the chavs for 50 mil and buy Suarez for 25 (or whatever it was) 600k for Sterling, 8.5 mil on Coutinho, Henderson for (undisclosed) but 15-20 mil

The chavs and City gladly pay that for a couple of bench players.

As for on the pitch, they have been beautiful to watch this season.

Edit. Yes, they have had to play 1 or 2 less games than other team at the top but to be fair both City and Chelsea's bench would walk into most top teams first 11.
