Could probably give him that each month and tbh he should be fine with that. He's been nothing but trouble the ladt few years and he has nothing but trouble. We could be a stepping stone for him to get back into an EPL mid-table club and not just in the reserves and never play. It's not like he needs the cash anyway
I would like to see him succeed and maybe (without being rude) stepping out of the spotlight to a smaller league and getting his head down and getting his form back would be great.

I honestly belive that he is beyond reach.
I would not want to see him play for my team, not that we could ever afford it ;)

In his head he should have his own team he is that good. In reality he might thrive at somewhere like Norwich. Still better than Torres though.

There are (very sketchy) rumours floating around that, after the Chelsea game, Wenger told his players he was standing down at the end of the season and that's why there is this "blackout" (no post-match press conference and they cancelled the Swansea pre-match one as well). It's probably all bullshit, though.

It has been going around for a while that if he wins a cup he will walk away.

Ah at least you don't need to worry about a new manager settling in any time soon then :p

Even though I've always loathed Arsenal I'd actually like Wenger to win the FA Cup and walk away with his head held high (probably not going to happen, but nonetheless). Let's be honest, Arsenal aren't going to get the assets to compete so long as Stan Kroenke is the major shareholder; he's the perennial 80% man; spend enough to keep the money flowing but don't go the extra mile to win anything; all his teams in the US are the same, regulars at the playoffs and no further.

The St. Louis Rams, despite being in the hardest division in the NFL, are going to be one of the best teams in the league in the next few years.

Not that I disagree with you about him. He can't underspend in the NFL because they have a hard salary cap. Not only are there massive penalties for going over, there are actually penalties for trying to cheapskate it and go under the cap as well. So they are probably going to succeed despite him.

I think most people don't believe the big two in La Liga's accounting abilities any way, so not exactly surprising if that is the amount.

UEFA don't seem to give a shit either. Financial fair play my arse, most top teams in Europe fiddle it in one way or another.

That's mental, why on earth wasn't the red given to Oxlade-Chamberlain?? I guess because it was going wide anyway so it wouldn't have gone in had he not handled it. It was still a deliberate handball though so the intent was there...

How can they. The incident was seen by the ref and linesman and neither acted. The the ref sent off the wrong player based on instructions from who the 4th official? The linesman half a pitch away? It was a monumental cock up that the FA just want to get away from.

Are the 4th officials even allowed to get people sent off?

As far as I know they can, they're a member of the officiating "team" like the linesmen. Only the ref can actually do anything but if one of his chums says they saw something he has to act. And the fact remains that *somebody* was sent off, it was just the wrong somebody so I don't know how not sending anybody off corrects it. Unless they're feeling sorry for the gooners. :)

It's like that linesman that fucked us when we played City. The ref was going to give a goal kick when Rose made that tackle in the box but the chump linesman chimed in and said it was a pen and Rose should be off so that's what happened.

I agree that by the letter of the law the Ox should be given the red but I think given the fact he owned up and the ref ignored him they are too embarrassed to do anything else. If the 4th official has told him to send Gibbs off he has done it based on video evidence no way the FA want to admit that.

Meh fair enough after the cock up but I struggle to see how a diving save by someone other than the keeper is not a red card...

I thought for a red it had to stopping a goal scoring opportunity, the ball was going wide. Penalty for sure, not sure about the red. The fact that it was so blatant may have been a decider. Total cock up and farce.

The analogy I saw was being sent off for swinging a punch and missing. Even though you didn't connect, the intent was still there. And Ox obviously thought it was on target and did what he thought was necessary to stop it going in. Deliberately.

Good thing they fired Laudrup eh?

Under Monk:

8/2: Swansea-Cardiff 3-0 (PL)
12/2: Stoke-Swansea 1-1 (PL)
16/2: Everton-Swanea 3-1 (FA)
20/2: Swansea-Napoli 0-0 (EL)
23/2: Liverpool-Swansea 4-3 (PL)
27/2: Napoli-Swansea 3-1 (EL)
2/3: Swansea-Crystal Palace 1-1 (PL)
15/3: Swansea-West Bromwich 1-2 (PL)
22/3: Everton-Swansea 3-2 (PL)

Total = 1 victory, 3 draws, 5 losses - out of FA, out of EL,

Ha, thankfully I had a good scratch.

Did put £1 on City 6, UTD 0 though. 250/1

The more I see UTD play this season the more I think they are doing it for a bet.
