Fuck it, I am now a half Spurs fan...only because I am bored of the Spurs fan wife nagging me about a prem side...and the fact that if I pick arsenal just to annoy her...it won't be worth any bragging writes when Spurs finish above Arsenal this season.

Madrid to come in with a late bid once Suarez hands in his transfer request. That way they'll get him for the 40m arse bid.

I wouldn't be surprised tbh because I'm pretty sure Levy won't accept any other than a full cash amount up front (depending on who you talk to they still owe us some moolah for Modric) and they just don't have it.

Apparently Levy has rejected an offer of £96m... lol. Or, he has accepted a £96m offer... but for next season. It's from the Spanish paper that called the Soldado transfer, so who knows...

This whole Suarez thing is getting silly if the media are to be believed. If he ends up suing Liverpool...regardless of whether he wins or not it will be pretty awkward there, he will have to go regardless.

He should engineer a move to City really, would really like to see some more playground squabbles there.

I think we'll be lucky to get one through the door tbh, after Pardew bigging up the youngsters after decent games against the likes of St. Mirren and Motherwell (lol) that'll be his cop out come the start of the season.

And that's really optimistic Ch3t, we're going to struggle even more, even if we avoid injuries, if Pardew continues his hoofball bullshit.

Just getting my first experience of BT Sport, seems a decent package tbh (well especially as im getting it free). Michael Owen as a commentator on a Liverpool game though :/

as far as Liverpool look, toure looking good, sterling's looking a real tasty prospect again, hopefully he can get a decent spell of football in, and joe allen still looks a donkey.

decent game between arsenal and Napoli in the end. finished 2-2. Napoli bossed the first half and were 2-0 up, arsenal only got into the game 2nd half once sagna had come on really, they were far too narrow up until then. Walcott ran around a lot, then misplaced easy passes and Chamberlain was showing early symptoms of Walcottitis as well.

His ability might put him in a higher ball-park than £~40m but his volatility and attitude lower his value massively. He's damaged goods, there's no 2 ways about it.

I think the word is liability. Few clubs would want him bad enough to spend loads. You just don't know if he is going to get himself banned.

That's why Ian Wright thinks we are after him. The elite clubs don't want to take a risk on him. And we can't go after the players these clubs want as we are not desirable even if we could compete financially. In terms of proven talent Saurez is probably the best we can buy right now but I still don't think £40m is a good investment. He is a big gamble.

I'd go up to £45m and stop there.

Makes you think, if only Arsenal held on to RVP and Alex Song.
