Well, i'd have taken it.

I'm about as qualified. Maybe the fact I have to give 2 weeks notice was what stopped me getting it.

Think that is unfair, he's meant to be a top coach.

Although I still think spuds were mad to ditch avb.

There is top coach and then there is being ready to be managing a club that has spent silly money and really ought to be aiming for top 4.

It could be an excellent choice and it is nice to see a up and coming young English manager at one of the top clubs, I just can't see that he is ready.

Really? He should change his name to AV "lack of a plan" B.
Hah, I've not heard that before. That's quite good.

I think Sherwood will do ok at least until the end of the season. He's already got them playing more exciting football (even if it is a 4-4-2 ergh - hopefully he might tweak it as he becomes more familiar with the players, it looked more 4-4-1-1 at times on Sunday). He's done fantastic things with the development squad, he knows the club inside out, he won't take shit from Levy, he's passionate (even though he was allegedly a gooner growing up). Little things like bringing Bentaleb on against Southampton, he knew he was ready and the guy was outstanding for his PL debut. Let's not get carried away though, he's so far had a loss to West Ham and a semi-convincing win against a pretty hollow Saints team.

It's a risky move for sure but we didn't have many other options in the middle of a World Cup season. Maybe Van Gaal will be available after the world cup or Yakin from Basel.

It's the smart thing to do.

They were showing Paul Scholes 107 goals earlier. You can really tell the difference between the UTD then and the UTD now. So much quality not replaced properly in recent years.

"You're down to nine men, you're manager's been sent off, you're drawing 1-1 and you're kicking uphill in the second half - Merry Christmas Stoke fans."

Lawrenson does say funny things... occasionally.

I've only just got in, devastated I've missed this first half! Have to watch it later when it gets stuck online somewhere.

Unfair result in the Arsenal/West Ham game, for a time West Ham looked great

Unfair? Other than a few spells arsenal were all over them. Good job Walcott did score as his incredibly poor pass in an arsenal attack led to west ham breaking away to take the lead.

Do rate sagna as well such a quality player.
