Warnock has been sacked by QPR.... And everyone assumed they'd got rid of muppet owners...

^only sky sports reporting this heavily, they got it before the club could announce it, and are causing chaos :)

Thats why I said it was worrying Chet, no killer instinct and more then happy to think the game is over and you have a divine right to win. Basel all over again it could have been.

It's nothing new though, let's get some perspective in here.

Fergie does not have a championship winning team here right now, it's very much a rebuilding phase, we were lucky last year when we were less shit than most. People are acting as if our strongest 11 just lost, please take a look at injury lists (this means you Keitanz). We haven't got our best defender, smalling has been rushed back to play today, the midfield which created all our goals at the start of the season is injured, Ando came back, but he's just getting his fitness back, we need Clevely back too. Scholes has not played competitive football for 6 months, of course he is going to look rusty.

It's not in Fergies nature to panic buy massively, and I'd be upset if we did, if players are available at a good price then we should buy if they fit Fergies plans.

It seems Stewart Downing has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

If she was dressed as a full-back he would never have attacked her.

I just hope he doesn't end up as a pundit on MoTD/Football focus every week now. Edit- Warnock not Downing :p

Hehe, does sound very much like a domestic, she hit him too. It won't go anywhere if she's hit him first.

The race for top 4 is insanely wide open right now, depending on the next set of matches we could be 4th if Chelsea lose about 5-0 and we win about 5-0 too :D

Though I think the top 8 as it is now will be the exact same at the end of the season... big questions will be asked of Wenger if they don't get in to the top 4 :p

No they won't. For all we berate Arsenal's squad every year, their finances aren't budgeted with champions league income, he's got one of the best sides in the league and has been very very unlucky with injuries in recent years.

As much as I would love see Arsene questioned (spurs fan, arsenal hate etc etc) he wont be. Football clubs are run like big businesses now and Wenger is probably the best businessman/ager in the league. The difference between Arsenal and the likes of Chelsea is Abramovich see's the ultimate goal of trophies and while Arsenal obviously want to win things the main objective veers more to profitability.

With a strong financial package that allows for non champions league qualification and Arsene's approach I doubt you will really see him under any pressure any time soon.

I do not agree with that really, the aim of or club is to make 20ish mil a year profit that means we qualified for the champions league. True test of that will be this year, we have paid all we can off the stadium lean and paid of the Highbury loan so all the profit should come to the football side of the business. This will allow Wenger to sign more players as he can assign the wages out of the lump sum rather than go over our budget. I really do not think we set out to make money i think we aim to do as well as we can while not losing money.

We'll see. Do you think Van Persie will want to stick around with a team which isn't in the champions league? I dunno, no doubt there will be quite a few clubs sniffing about if they don't get in to the CL...

Then of course, if he leaves, Wenger will get the blame for the club not being in the top 4... they spent quite a few bob in the summer as well, then again that was panic buying so the prices were inflated :p

Our "panic buys" cost 26 mil we sold Nasri and Cesc for 60 mil so we did not spend a penny. AOC and Gervinho cost another 17 mil so that still 17 profit. Compared to your "Panic Buys" they are fine are you worried about Kenny being fired?

Yes RVP leaving is a real worry but Champions League is not the real factor there it will come down to if he wants a different club before he hangs his boots up as this will be his last big contract. If he does go no sensible fan will blame Wenger.

Well whaddya know, they can apologise.

Oh, the above quote seems to have come from that story. You wouldn't know though, with the amount of times they have copy-pasted it between stories. :D

Reckon Henry will start for Arsenal tonight? BBC are saying Van Persie will be rested so it's likely he will play.

None of our buys were really panic buys, they were just stupid fees for English talent... and being in the Champions League or not is the deciding factor for quite a few players, look at Torres etc.

Don't know. Van Persie's not even in the country so he won't feature at all. Park and Chamakh also need games and Chamakh's just about to leave for ACN. Wouldn't be surprised to see Henry start but I think it's more likely he'll be subbed on.

1632 FOOTBALL: Chelsea have been handed a major boost afterMichael Essien played 75 minutes of their reserve game against West Brom. The midfielder has been out of action since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament at the start of pre-season training.

Just in time for him to head off to the ACON and bust his knee again. :D

Actually I think currently he's technically retired from international football, decided to take a break to focus on club football, then we broke him in pre-season :p

I think he originally stood down but has since made himself available again. I could be wrong though.

That would be quite a boost. Second best DM in the league after all ;)

Can anyone explain why QPR sacked the manager who got them into the Premiership?

I mean they were always going to be looking at a struggle to stay up - thats a given.

I hope they sink back down through the leagues tbh.

Because they are run by utter douchebags. I also hope they drop like a sack of shit now. Warnock is a prick ofc but he has done massive things for that club.
