But having the same number of people standing as you could have sitting will mean there is lots of empty space. You can fit 2-3 times as many people in when standing. That's why there is the perceived better atmosphere.

Standing might work in some less popular Scottish matches where the stadia are not at risk of overcrowding and those few supporters can form a better atmosphere but they are never going to let standing back into big games. It is far too dangerous.

Yep- you can have it in league one and below but that's it.

You don't need to start making massive terraces or anything, just designated standing areas like you have family areas.

Most people prefer to stand but don't because it isn't fair if there are kids / old people around.

It's a joke if he gets more than a 1 game ban.. different cultures collide etc.

If he does it again, it should be a 5+ game ban though.
