can't really complain about that, didn't do enough in other games. Started shit hot this season, and turned into dog shit now.

GL Cheslki and Arse. Our kids will get fucked in the Europa League now.
Europa league? What is that? Is it televised? ;)

Thing is I don't think you did start the season that well over all, least I guess you've less to focus on now though.

Still lol how you could fuck up a group containing the might of Benfica, Basel and the giant that is is Otelul.

Least City would have qualified in any other group and contained Napoli and Bayern.

Tommorow is going to be sweet ripping the gloryhunters :D.

It was the best United start to the season since something like 1981 or thereabouts. Big wins against big teams. But we've been utter shit in the CL all the way through. This has been coming though; we won the league last year because everyone else lost the plot, we were pretty grim to watch in the CL last year as well. The gaping fucking hole in the centre of the park can't be ignored anymore; a complete rebuild is needed, and needed fast. Buying 14-year old Brazilians is all well and good, but they're not going to be winning you titles this year or the next.

Basel do have a pretty good team tbh, but Man Utd should have teached them a lesson :/

Could be an epic Man City v Man Utd final in Europa?!?!?1

How much money is the knock-out stages worth these days, how much do the Manchester teams lose out on?

Lots. You get both prize money and TV money. It's very lucrative. (Not that either of them care much for fiscal sensibility though.)

If FM is correct then it's something like a £700k payout just for winning a CL game.

I'm sure there are huge commercial implications for both as well.

This is just a kick up the arse for Fergie.. he'll address it, he always does. Didn't this happen like 6 years ago and looked what followed that.

Does anyone reckon that Lindegaard will actually get the chance now? The games he has played he has done very well.

Also I feel so bad for Eriksen. Who would have imagined that Lyon would win by that much? :(

Was thinking this could hurt Man Utd long-term, league wise. Then I saw their next few fixtures, which are generous to say the least:

Wolves (H)
QPR (A)
Fulham (A)
Wigan (H)
Blackburn (H)

This might give them enough momentum to carry into their harder matches in the new year, in Jan and Feb they play Man City (Cup), Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Had it been the other way round they could have been really struggling. Only Fulham away looks like it's not 3 points in the bag already.

We just seem useless on the creative front at the moment . Dont create much at all recently and we cant rely on just nicking a goal a game. What is it? 7 league games in a row with just scoring a single time.Who would think our most creative player is Cleverley currently and I just sit wishing that we had David Silva in the squad.

We just aint very good upfront at the moment full stop and make silly defensive errors. This was always going to be a tough year but didnt expect us to be this poor even with the use of so many youngsters. But no matter what I back them, hope the likes of Morrison get to play europa league... on reason I will watch the awful tv coverage would be that.

Rooneys appeal has been successful, hopefully the little fucker can start concentrating on playing for Utd now. Only a 2 game ban!

Has anyone seen the highlights from the Dynamo - Lyon match? I hate to say this, but it looks horribly fixed. The keeper and defenders are not even trying..

I do wonder what would happen if Ferguson retired/was sacked.. I think Moyes would be brought in maybe..

Bit of a shitty season for them to be honest, losing 6-1 at home to Man City then getting booted out the CL and also most likely not winning the Prem..

Oh and they got knocked out the Carling Cup by Crystal Palace....

It makes the FA Cup tie between City and Utd a must win for Utd imo.. well that or the Europa league but I don't think they will even bother.. City will probably boss that with their C team.

I'd love to know where this confidence comes from, they supposedly had a good enough team last year for the Eufa cup and ended up knocked out of it.
