To be fair Fabregas tried to leave on the same terms as Ronaldo, the problem was that Barca did not play fair, and Arsenal were not strong enough on their side. Had they agreed to let him go this summer, but done the deal last year, as is rumoured with the Ronaldo deal, then they would have got more and had longer to plan a replacement.

The sale of Cesc for so little money is on Wengers head. The board were prepared to play hard-ball with Barce and I doubt Cesc would refuse to play. But Wenger did not want to keep him when he clearly wanted to leave which let Barce pick the price.

I do not hate Cesc for wanting to go to his local club but I am gutted that we did not get a fair price for him.
