The average age of today's Man Utd team? 23.9 years. The average age of the starting XI that beat Blackpool 4-2 on the last day of the last campaign? 28.45 years. Watch your back.. it's a stat attack. Although, how old is 0.45 years? beeb

Hoping we bring that extra edge out of Young. Always liked him and he should fit in well.

Lovely finish by rooney, hte moment he hit it I was cheering as it was clearly going in. . . and my god what a miss by Nani after a lovely move

Harder chance then, but I expected Nani to put that one away from the corner.

De Gea will need a lot of time to adapt, time which he won't be given imo.

I think he could have gotten to it, but it was a well placed strike. Good game so far. Refreshing to actually watch some football. ;o

Will be interesting to compare the progress of De Gea v Szczesny over the season, since most have been claiming De Gea to be a far better GK.

As someone who used to be a GK, it was an easy, run of the mill save. He didn't react fast enough and get to the floor.

It a goalkeeper... any mistake, even small, if it leads to a goal means the keeper going to get majorly slagged. If keep making mistakes like that you cant win the league, as such you wont be left on the pitch and be expected to improve on training ground whilst another takes the matches.

dont help we spoilt by VDS :(

Infact... when it comes to De Gea... it seems simply a case of his reactions are amazing, hence why he a good shot blocker from close range... however his timing is often poor which is why he lacks on longer shots

As Robbie said even he could of saved it, it was so basic that there isn't really an excuse not to of saved it.
