And yes Villa, there team is hardly threatening currently.

We have a decent first 11 but any injuries or suspensions and we'll be scratching around for points. Fully expect a relegation campaign, particularly under the utterly shit manager our board appointed.

Was it the Stoke fans who sang Swing Low Sweet Chariot to the Arsenal fans? Good on 'em, if it was them or whoever else. Arsenal play some great football at times, but the sanctimonious attitude of the club as a whole, from manager to fans, about the football they play is really grating at times. There was a great mock-ad in When Saturday Comes that sums up Arsenal - it 'advertised' a DVD of "great Arsenal moves that don't result in a goal" or something along those lines "6 hours of fruitless passing in triangles!" I paraphrase, but you get the point.

Reports this morning saying Fab is as good as off;

BBC Sport - Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas on verge of Barcelona move

All my arsenal supporting family think he's gone, more worryingly for them is the updated Beeb article:

BBC Sport - Cesc Fabregas & Samir Nasri near moves to Barcelona & Man City

If they loose both they are in trouble. Ramsey and Wilshere are amazing, but you can't win the league or challenge without depth in your squad. Arshavin is a waste most of the time (and injured last night, don't know how bad).

Liverpool have had a bid accepted for Enrique according to sky, bad for Newcastle, I can't help but think they would be better off making him see out his last year rather than sell him for such a pittance (£5.5million reported bid).

Oh and I could not agree more about Stoke, Wazz is bitter as hell. Who cares if they don't play the football you like? They have consistently improved over the last 3 years, and are buying players that will allow them to play a different style. Remember Bolton? They went through the same process.

Bolton still play more long balls than anyone else in the EPL though :p. I think the whole 'Owen coyle revolution' of how they play is a bit of a myth. They're definitely an improvement over the Allardyce era Bolton, but still. I honestly think Stoke already play better football than Bolton on the whole.

Apperantly liverpool trying to sign Fernando Gago and Auquilani set to stay this season rather than go on loan, same with joe cole

that will mean our midfield is

Gerrard, Downing, Adam, Cole, Aquilani, Gago, Lucas, Miereles, Maxi, Kuyt, Spearing, Shelvey, Poulson and Henderson......

14 1st team midfielders. 10 of which are natrualy central, and 6-7 can only really play centrally....

we may aswell sign barton just for the crack

£27m + potential add ons of £5m for Fabregas. Good bit of business and good to see us sticking to our guns of not paying over inflated prices for premier league players

;)

Smiley for that Arsenal fan so he knows im being sarcastic and wont have to throw another hissy fit.

is it an actual deal or another "done deal" that we have seen every week for the last 3 years?

It's set to be tied up by Sat according to all reports Ormorof. Arsenal's silence is telling.

I'd disagree with Marc's figures, everyone else reporting £30million cash, + £5million in performance related add-ons + Cesc forgoing his contract payoff of £4million.

Fabregas has been on the verge of leaving Arsenal in the same way I've been on the verge of stuffing my hairy balls up Sasha Grey's arse for a very long time. I'll believe it when I see him on the pitch in La Liga. :p

I would rather have a good footballing ethic than be associated with a team whos fans booed Ramsay for daring to make Shawcross cry by having his leg smashed to bits. There's a lot wrong with Stoke, from manager to fans.

Well if the Arsenal twats didnt boo shawcross every time they match there would be more likelyhood of Ramsey not being booed. So maybe you should look to yourselfs and stop acting in the same manner. Talk about holding a grudge. lol.

Remind me again how that chant from the whiter than white Arsenal fans goes, about the holocaust?

All clubs have their element of Idiots.

Well since they couldn't do it with them I would be somewhat annoyed as an Arsenal fan.

The one's I've talked to are relieved tbh, they don't want Cesc if his hearts not in it, and they certainly don't want Nasri.

Relieved? let's see if they will say the same thing when they fall outside of the Champions League..

They are going to be getting about £50m combined for them both, which will go on french kids probably..

Who's the replacement? Doesn't exactly scream ambition now does it either? Once Van Persie get crocked again it'll go up the shitter. It's a sinking ship over there IMO, lack of depth.

We don't really need a direct replacement for Cesc tbh, we have Ramsay who is similar. Not at the same level, and his game is a bit more dynamic than Cesc but before his horrific injury he was showing a range of passing that was matching Cesc. If Nasri goes too then we do need someone, I expect we'd fully step up chases for either Mata or Hazard. They're both good players but the doom predictors are probably getting a little too overexcited. Nasri's only really had about 6 months of greatness in the time he's been here, the rest of the time he's just been good. Is that worth 200k p/w that he'll be on at City? Hell no.

Plus it still seems you've not improved the area you really need to from last season.

No doubt that was wrong, but it has absolutely nothing to do with football.

This.
