Utd certainly do have a wealth of talent up top.

Can't wait for the season to start now!

Yep cho, read between the lines. Clubs are all taking a much harder stance with players under contract this summer. It''s only right, with the fair play regulations and the spotlight on clubs being run as good businesses, I think we'll see more forced loyalty from players.

Rightly so, it is about time all these overpaid mercenaries were held to thier contracts anyway. Just had to laugh at 100 million euros though, that is not even remotely realistic, fantasyland figures! :D

Dirk Kuyt thinks with Adam, Henderson and Downing we can now challenge for the title.

...... I think we need a new natural right winger to even get in the top four, though I guess the plan is to play Gerrard there what with Adam and Henderson joining ;/

Do you think that will hurt the game in the long run? Forcing players to stay?

Nope, clubs spend more on wages and development than they gain in transfers in the most part. Losing big players can really set a team back. A lot of money from transfers also ends up outside football these days - FIFA really need to look at the rules regarding agents and 3rd party ownership again.

Yeah I agree, made me giggle slightly listening to Fergie saying that now Gary Neville is gone he won't be knocking on his door demanding more money for the young players. Agents have far too much power.

Spot on, we need to start regulating the transfers much more heavily, too many walk away from contracts and force moves, the agents bleed hundreds of millions out of the game ever year. It has to stop.

Yep, I'd actually have no problem with ridiculous transfer fee's if the money stayed in football. Honouring contracts I'm not to fussed about, a bit of respect is more important. Don't throw your toy's out of the pram, if you really want to leave then that is fine, but your club needs to get proper compensation.

Relearn apostrophes!

But yeah, I agree. It's why we still like Cesc at Arsenal. He may want to leave but he's been nothing but dignified and done everything in our interests.

To be fair, Modric hasn't done anything wrong either, there has been one "interview" with a news paper in Croatia, and we don't know if those quotes are accurate or not. He's not come out and acted a child, he's still with the squad preparing for the new season.

The season needs to kick off soon or all we'll have left is the shitty manager, his shitty backroom staff and the bloke who mows the pitch. Doris the Tea Lady's already gone on a Bosman to Man City, apparently they serve a better standard of biscuit in the Champions League.

Calm down, you've been linked with bids for Parker, n'zogbia and given. Not a bad trio to land, and you could possibly get all three for only a shade more than what pool just gave you.

Or what United gave you.

Villa were always going to bid on Charles, Mcleish tried to sign him for Birmingham, and with the cash he received from Utd and Liverpool £10 Million is a decent price for a player of Nzogbias talent.

There biggest concern now is the goalkeeping position. But maybe they might make a bid for Forster to bring him back up. Birmingham seem content to keep taking any cash thrown at them for players.

£30m for Modric and £40m for Fabregas are ok sums imo, when you consider Liverpool paid £35m for the white micheal ricketts

Vlad has rickets, true story. His legs are so bowed you could drive a train through his legs and right up his arse without him noticing.
