It's not a done deal yet is it? Even if it would probably be one of the less surprising signings.

Tbh I think he would be a good signing, maybe not the most flashy but he WILL give width that we haven't had in ages (Riera) and he will deliver crosses for Carroll. Of course a Mata type of signing would have been more interesting but you have to consider the pulling power without CL.

tbh johnson agger and skrtle are all ok, just need a decent left back, then players like kelly wilson flanagan aurellio ect are decent enough back up

I don't pretend to watch an exceptional amount of liverpool games, but from those I have, I wouldn't rate Squirtel at the lever you need if you want to challenge.

Agger is the only defender Liverpool have of genuine ability.

Skrtl is hit and miss and would be acceptable as 3rd/4th choice.

Carragher is useless and old and is being found out more and more. Kyrgiakos is plain rubbish.

Johnson can't defend. Insua is very fragile. The other young lads have promise but that's all. I really can't fathom why they aren't trying to address this and are just spunking money on midfielders they don't need.
