I sometimes think you don't actually watch united play often and then comment on the odd bad moment when you do.

Smalling has been great for us at right back,a lthough he's better in the middle, and his attacking runs are good. His passing has been fine. I think you should dig some stats out and compare him to oshea and other premier league defenders. (also, I rekon you will find o shea was very good at passing too).

Well no, not just in the attacking half, you claimed he was a bad passer, so you'd need complete stats. I've seen him do lots of runs and crosses, which are very good. His link up play with whomever has been on the right has been very good, and he's only getting better. And on what basis are you claiming o'shea was a bad passer? He was an average defender at times, but that was because he was a utility player and had to do a bit of everything. If anything o'shea was brilliant at attacking passing play, and got a lot of goals and assists.

You think he's a bad passer, yet you don't want to check the stats to see if he actually is.

It's a horror show at times.. we have no midfield at all. Kightly is looking so much like the don he once was though, so chuffed for the lad, 3 years out and hes looking like he hasn't changed .
