Now all we need is to actually put a fight up and not be shit scared/play for a point. It's the point now that we need to play fearless and regardless of the situation. 2 wins for 20 games says it all.

(this is as Bob the Builder doesn't wish to invest, too busy building luxury homes)

If I am Balotelli I would be thinking the same. One case where there is 100% no doubt he meant to hit a fellow pro in the face with an elbow and nothing is said. Another where no one can prove intent and its up in front of the FA. And Karl Henrys stamp is slowly fading into the background too. If I am him then I am thinking why me.

I agree completely that Lescott should be banned as well, I don't quite know what Webb was thinking saying he wouldn't have pulled a red card had he seen it. I still think that Balotelli's stamp was entirely deliberate and he deserves everything he gets.

I'd say you can't ban him for that because you can't know for sure either way, but it's just down to the judgement of Webb so meh.

Bizarrely. I think the FA will let him off.

They're feeling the heat of a group of lawyers who said they find 98% of people guilty - which is an astonishing conviction rate.

Letting him off would give the FA something to point at. But then, I could be talking shite :)

I'm sure it doesn't matter to him - he's filthy rich anyway. What's an extra few million to someone who's already worth tens...

.. so I'm bored, heres a bunch of players that I think we should target as they are a) within our price range and b) within Bob the Builders wage policy. Also that Mick seems to forget the rest of Europe exists.

Nikila Jelavic from Rangers, rejected West Ham so he'll go below prem, could even do a part-exchange with the useless Doyle. Looks composed infront of goal and wants to prove himself in the Prem.

James Chester from Hull, out of the United academy and has looked solid at the back for Hull, wouldn't cost us much at all and would get the likes of an error-prone Berra out of the line up

Darren Ambrose from Palace, set piece specialist who offers alot going forward, surprisied noone has taken a punt on him yet

Gary Taylor-Fletcher from Blackpool, shows he can at least cut it in the prem and provides another option, could link up exceptionally with Fletcher upfront.

Craig Gardner.. unsettled and missing the Midlands, won't drop down back to Blues and Villa won't take him, doubt he'd fit into the Baggies midfield.. I'd be knocking on the door for him tbh.

Peter Whittingham from Cardiff, how he is still in the Championship is a mystery, maybe prefers being the big fish in a small pond? Offers a great option in a number of positions and wouldn't cost much to prise away.

Adrian Marriappa from Watford, looked great for them when we played them (albeit 4 years ago), but seems to be an improve footballer and someone to help our defensive woes.

Shame it won't fucking happen..

AFAIK he's got no interest in going anywhere at all. Just signed a new contract with us despite a few Premiership clubs enquiring. Apparently also the quietest, most unassuming bloke you're ever likely to meet. Hugely shy away from football too, which all adds up to someone who wouldn't want to move away, I'd have thought.

So FO, he's ours. ;)

Ambrose is a good shout. I thought he looked a very good player at newcastle/charlton.

I'd love to see the Ecuadorian and Bolivian teams added to those graphs for comparison :D

Slight underground twitter rumour that Lille are prepared to let Hazard go, and that under a silent agreement Arsenal are in talks. Apparently it's taking place but both clubs are denying it.

Please be true, PLEASE.

I have zero doubt that if he wanted a new deal he would get one :(

I'll probably regret it (got a 0-4 feeling) but if someone could PM me a link for a stream to tonights semi-final pretty please. My usual place is failing me for the hot SopCast action (and it really needs to be a sopcast one if you can as I'm streaming it through my netbook and it dies streaming hi-rez flash).

Please to be accepting many thankyous in advance :)

No Carroll again.. honestly... this really isn't going to help him...... just yells out that we are going to try and flog him soon imo..

Especially since Suarez is back quite soon.. grrrrrrr

Either start Carroll in every game or sell and replace him ..

Tonights saving grace; Barca Madrid if the Pool City game is (more than likely to be) crap :D

BOARD MEETING

Morgan: How are we doing Mick?

Mick: I'm encooraged by recent performances. We were unlucky against Villa as you know but the lads put a good shift in as usual. Those draws at Spurs and Arsenal show we are heading in the right direction, noone's going to slap us if we keep up those kinds of performances.

Morgan: How are we doing on reinforcements?

Mick: We have found this ex Celtic midfielder Fotheringham and he's on trial and looking good...

Mox: How much would he cost?

Mick: He's with Livingstone but they only want £867.42 p for him.

Mox: Hmm would they take £800 do you think?

Mick: Possibly but there is competition from Cowdenbeath I hear so we have to be quick. I thought a two year contract at £8,000 a week.

Morgan: Never heard of him.

Mox: We can stretch to £2,000 a week I'll speak to Livingstone's chairman Jock Mcripoff and see what we can do.

Mick: He puts in a shift and can pass.....the ball to people.

Morgan: Never heard of him.

Mick: He was big at Norwich played over 60 games, plus 22 games for Famagood...er gust abody in Cyprus, good pedigree. I like him.

Morgan: Ok then but that's it if you go with him. We don't want to be the next Portsmouth do we?

Mox/Mick: No sir.
