I'm following the legendary Glenn Hughes on Facebook and he's a Wolves fan. Maybe I should have pm'd this to Everz but as he is of fetal age he probably won't have heard of him
Well this should be interesting. In the absence of Young and Downing I think Gabby might be a better lone frontman than Bent. Not as clinical but works harder, closes down the opposition and can make something of a ball generally lumped in his direction.
Apart from the game against Blackburn we've been pretty piss poor under McLeish for the most part so I'm half expecting a walloping, anything less than that will be a bonus.
That first half was unbearable. Typical that Dunne should drop a bollock just after Gary Neville gave him man of the match. Neville is the pundits equivalent of McLeish ... fucking useless.
Another weekend missing this thread while football was on, damn girlfriend. Even missed the second half of the Chelsea game because of her damned birthday.
In summary; Torres is finally coming good, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at his terrible challenge. Can't argue with the decision in any way but I do think he didn't mean to harm the player he tackled. STILL, there is no excuse for a professional footballer, no matter what position they play, to not be able to make a decent sliding tackle.
The three league games he'll miss (Bolton, Everton, QPR iirc) aren't the toughest games so it isn't necessarily the end of the world, he can at least keep playing in the Champions League and league cup fixtures we have coming up.
Quite fascinating to see Stoke got a draw against United. Their record against the big four teams, especially at home, recently is pretty impressive.
The Respect campaign is sometimes hard to abide by when a referee decides to look the other way when someone grabs you by the throat with no provocation.
