If Yak's leaving you'll have a replacement en route. Moyes isn't dumb.

Chelsea did well to give Lampard a 150k p/w contract up until he's 35. It astounds me how badly run that club is at times.

I have heard Micheal Owen is going and we are bringing Welback back from Sunderland, could be interesting.

As for Lampard, agree that contract length and value does seem a bit much now.

its not strictly 150k p/w. that's what he'll have got last year if activating all bonuses, in his last year he'll get a fraction of that as it decreases each year.

or smt like that

not as if you can predict injuries is it? 27 goals and 20 assists last year. WHAT AN AWFUL DECISION KEEPING HIM WAS /retard mode off

No, you are right he had a great season last time out but this injury that will never fully heal does show how dangerous these long term high value contracts can be. If he misses 10 games a season from now on which will also have an effect on for in the other games, all down to this injury, then it is going to be a real problem for you no?

he's scored 6-7 goals now for the first team, most people are saying he is better than walcott was at that age because he has more of an end product, more goals and better crosses and stuff. Just as quick, good feet, amazing prospect. We've put a £10m price tag on him apparently.

He wants to play CF eventually as well like Walcott does. He'll be at arsenal and in the euro 2012 squad as an unused sub before you know it.

Also, his dad, Mark Chamberlain, used to play for England and has advised him to give it another couple of years with us before moving on. Apparently. Hopefully.

dunno why WS wasnt in the top2.

Dunno why he wasnt 3rd pick instead of Casper.

Iniesta had a mediocre (at best) season and was only there due to scoring a single, but historic, goal in the worldcup.

I made this post about it in december

yep he won the trible, but he played a horrible semi in Coppa Italia and wasn't even playing in the return match - in fact, he only played 5 minutes of the final.

As for the CL, he was overshadowed by Milito and a few other players - Just look at the final.
And the World cup final? well, you hardly noticed him because of Busquets.

Still some good accomplishments, but keep in mind he has been absolutely shit for the last 6 months. He has not scored from any open play situations in Serie A in 2010. That says a lot.

There are players who deserves it more in my opinion, and I think the voting system is pretty fair to be honest.

They could put Forlan up there as 3rd or something :)

that was an option also.

it's strange why Iniesta was in the top three, just that.

forlan is awesome tbh. Moving to spain really helped his career imo, even though he wasn't actually particularly bad at manu.
