Everz I hope your team don't decide to start playing properly this weekend but after that I hope you do, Wolves are a proper football club unlike the Wigans of the Premiership. MM Was good for us with VERY limited rescources but it seems to me the sooner he starts to play Doyle and Fletcher or even Sophie Ellis Bexter up front together consistantly you'll continue to struggle. I really feel those two up top with Jarvis flying down the left you will stay up and get out of the mess your in. Keep the faith my friend.

Problem with MM is that has the undropable favourites. Doyle has been pap this season, the formation we ran for the first 3 games was brilliant, 3 points against Stoke, a point away at Everton and unlucky loss at Fulham, once Doyle returned we reverted to 4-5-1 and dropped both SEB and Fletch to the bench. He refused to play a 4-4-2 even though we have the players to do it, whenever another striker comes on they go to the wings.

Jarvis at 'pool cut an annoyed figure, the amount of quality balls he pumped in the box only for one of them to be hoofed over or noone near. Hopeful lineup for you should be

USA

Foley
Mouyokolo
Stearman (should be Batth but we sent him on loan, good work Mick)
Elokobi

Hunt
Mancienne
Millijas
Jarvis

Fletcher
Doyle

Won't be though, be a soft 4-5-1 and the hope of a clean sheet.

Predictions ?

FCBarcelona  vs Real Madrid :kissit:

I hope Barca to win quite easily !

I would do the memory of a holiday romance in 1996 a great disservice if I failed to back Real Madrid. Rocio Astorga <3

Well we're going to have a new central defence as both Turner and Bramble (probably been our best player so far this season) are both out for a minimum of 2 months. This will give us Mensah who is awesome but wont last 90 minutes, Ferdinand and Da Silva, possibly Onouhua. So we'll be fragile at the back, thankfully the midfield and strikers are all fit and have looked good over the last few games.

Should be a close game.

Problem is our defense won't cope with your attack at all. Hoping for a repeat of the end of last season though.. Christ that seems so far away.

Everz. What about Jelle Van Damme? Why isn't he playing at all?

I always rated him as a good player.. especially for english football.

Damn those catalans, always cheating!! Hang on a minute.....

If pep had done this and not the translator, this forum would be in melt down!

FWIW, I have no problem with what the translator did and id do the same in his shoes and I dont for one minute believe, it doesnt go on at other clubs.

Personally I don't see the problem with it. All cards except straight reds should be wiped at the end of the group stage anyway imo.
If the referees are going to be so damn card hungry how is any player supposed to avoid a couple of yellow cards in the group games?

The managers and players are just working the system, a bad system.

if they are not punished, fine no problem, but then it will seem like a sanction for other teams to do (or continue to do) the same, and if they are punished, it should at least be a real punishement, not just a piddly fine that they effectively earn back after 10 mins on the training field, make it either a large fine, or a 2 game suspension on top of the one they already automatically get, that way at least they'll think twice about it

either that or they could remove the whole problem by clearing cards after group stages (which kinda makes sense)

do they currently clear cards after the qualifiers into the group stages? otherwise thats surely a handicap for teams fighting through qualifiers from the beginning?

Well they can't fine or punish them more than they have the other clubs and players in the last two seasons, as their rules have not changed. If they did, real would appeal it and win.

the rules clearly need to change

btw it's my idea or football is not so interesting and entertainment as it was the previous years ? its kinda boring dunno.

So many systems. 5 - 6 teams have so much more quality difference than the rest.

but have they punished others in the past? have they even investigated stuff like this? (or has it just been deemed less newsworthy by the press because its not a big team or Mourinho involved?)

Cris and Juninho got fined after admitting they did it a few years ago.

also Swiss Federal investigators might look into the whole Fifa-cash-for-votes swap thingy, might not come to anything, turns out that under swiss law, not-for-profit (and FIFA doesnt care about money right? :p ) organisations cannot be convicted of "corruption" as it doesnt exist in Switzerland...riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

Quote from Tevez:

I don't want to play anymore," Tevez told TyC Sports. "I'm tired of football, but also tired of people who work in football. I don't want to play anymore, and I'm talking seriously. I'm going to play football for three or four years in Europe, then I will quit. I would play for Boca again only if my father asks me to do it, but I don't want to play in Argentina again. If you ask me, I would love to have my old life back in my neighbourhood of Fuerte Apache as I don't like my way of life today.

What a complete ****

That's an old quote, he allegdly said it a couple of months ago, and I've seen various translations.

The common theme appears to be that he is feeling the strain of football on his body and is not enjoying it anymore. A few more years will take him to his peak, so a good time to quit if he can.

Not sure how that makes him a ****? He's got a family and enough ealth to support them, why should he not be allowed to retire?

rumor in the daily mail (yes its true i do read it!) says that he will be swapped for Bojan in barca

so barca could end up with a Tevez, Messi, Villa front line with maybe a Iniesta, Xabi, Fabregas midfield? would be awesome to see hehehe

It's an old adage which is oft repeated but it doesn't make it any less true:

Money doesn't buy you happiness.
