Just like to say thanks to the Mids who are still insisting on running 1fg (Mael group, BO, EL) and not hanging around with the 'zerg'.

Nice to have some evenly matched fights with you, even if they usually end with both sides being hit by the entire of Albion if the fights last over 3 minutes.

Still to see a single Alb group that doesn't have the lag effect 30 seconds after engaging them. By 'lag' I mean 'omfg, that's alot of albs'.

Yes, we all have been dragged into keep zergs in the past week, but it's nice to see a change once in a while :)

Keep it up guys!

Wish I could say the same about AoD :m00:

Out of 8 times we met em last night we had ONE 1fg vs. 1fg...the other times we we're steamrolled by "le zurg"!.

I usually run in a guild grp .... ie 8 ppl ...... maybe u just run in the opposite direction thinking there are 200 albs behind us, lol, but we don't really run with a zerg

Still trying to figure out why it takes 3 mids on assist to kill me, tho, one hit and i can't cast, kinda funny remisk and zebolt and some random mid, ofc, could be cuz i am uber! :flame:

Sure, I'd love to run with a balanced fg. Please provide me with regular sorc, clerics etc and we can go farm each other in a secluded corner of Emain any day of the week. Or hang on - since I'd probably only get a RR3-5 group going we wouldn't really succeed in farming you.

So my remaining option is to hang out at towers. Usually go there with a fg or less. But seeing as there are insta-flames on warmap soon enough you'll have some greedy infi hogging the oil, scout troops with assist x8 etc. Not much to do about it.

I'm just thankful there's a way to get random and accessible rvr now. Nothing was worse than standing at Emain for 2 hours waiting for a group only to get steamrolled by fg+ three times in a row (or less if people insta-logged after first wipe).

Grief about the lack of 'the good old days' of 8x8 as much as you like. I'm just happy to be able to enjoy more aspects of the game than I did before.

Simple solution: /send Rambo no, we're not ressing you, you stole the oil on the tower we worked to take, you can survive outside the tower, stop being a lazy fecker

...

Did I say Rambo? oops, meant <noob infil>, simple mistake, anyone can make it, given the recent behaviour from the new owner.

;)

Must admit, I've been having mucho fun in NF, and yes, PL are trying to form a semi-fixed guild group for rvr, having concentrated a lot on the PvE side to be ready for NF.

With regards to zerging vs the non-zerg, the recent battle over Crimthainn <where we lost, but had a lot of laughs>, was started by 0.5fg of our guild group, people got wind of what we were doing (or trying to), and arrived in dribs and drabs. Suddenly my little group had become 130 people.

Yes, the PL group does get thoroughly whipped by the high RR, experienced guild groups out there, but as most of us are fairly low RR this is only to be expected. What I do enjoy is the opportunity to wander all 3 realms and try to get better. (Yes, it's a slow process...but hey, it's fun!).

All in all a big  for NF. It's opened up RvR for everyone, long may it continue!

D... aka Snugglebot the far too frequently zebolted! :D

P.S. Nerf the oil hogging infis, I agree!

Totally agree with Graendel, before NF I found myself normally in a RR5-7 group we stood no chance what so ever vs the RR11 mids that kept patrolling APK and got insta wiped when stepping off APK.
Now with NF we have more safe spots from these RR11 groups (towers, center keeps) so we mostly hang around those to avoid being insta killed by those extremely high RRs as before NF we didn't stand 1 chance in a open field vs them so what makes you think we do now.
Of course those high RRs want to make people beleave 1fg vs 1fg is the only way, they play with the same people 24/7 so they know how to support eachother flawlessly and will crush basically 99% of the groups they meet they don't want to lose these farming sessions so they keep on whining at zergs but in my oppinion I much rather zerg a rr11 fg with 2fg of rr5-7 than getting farmed over and over again.

And its funny that someone had to start the AoD zerg thing again as probably you never played with them and when I am playing in their group it's just 1fg but now with /rw when you are taking or defending a tower many people will come to help / aid you as now they all see where the action is.
I bet Mael, Eclipse, BO and all those other high RR guilds get adds countless of times also esp. now during NF with the /rw it's something you can't avoid.

I think RvR has improved alot now as you wont have people log as they get insta killed upon entering a RvR zone and you can see where the action is with the warmap (which does resolve in Zergs often but in my oppinion that doesnt matter it makes it all more fun) as it's not fun to run around a zone for 20 min to just find 1 group to fight like it used to be.

Have to agree with you Andrilyn, your way of thinking is the way it should be. If you can't beat an enemy with what you have, then get more. The game is designed as a war scenario, and in real life (yeah yeah, it's a game, but so is football, so why spend £10m+ on a player to score more goals to beat another team if you are only meant to be having fun?) battles aren't fought with 8 people, you use as many people as you think need to in order to win.

Personally I prefer the 1fg vs 1fg fights, but I realise that I'm not always going to get them, whether it be the initial contact with the enemy, or by adds from either of the enemy realms. Just nice to see that there's still some Mids running around as single groups, also trying to avoid the hot-spots and getting dragged into a numbers game.

As said, have yet to see Albs do this, no matter where I see PE, FL or AoD is no more than 20 seconds away and hit us as well. Coincidence gets a bit thin after so many times :)

Same as above, it's just that whenever I see the AoD group about, there's usually 2-3 other alb groups within a few seconds of them. Yes, alot of the time it is around an 'active' keep, and perhaps we should just avoid that area, but everywhere else seems to be dead :s

I have no problem with the AoD group, it's the ones who seem to be constantly running with them. Members of the group, Steveh included, have constantly said they are telling the 'adds' to stop running with them, but there's nothing that you can do if people insist on following you, apart from trying to lose them, but that's a bit hard when they move at the same speed as you and there's the /stick or /follow function.

Could always do what the Apoc. Dudes on Excal did: let the groups engage and then walk away :D

Hmm.. I like that word ;)

Anyway, it's fun that its still possible to run fg's as most ppl said wouldn't be possible pre NF. But yet again the majority was proven wrong as usual ^^

We don't play anymore, so do not know why you came up with that conclusion.

Cause seeing 3-4 well-known FL members running in a group, I'd usually tag that as a FL group, same way people call todays Eclipse groups an 'Eclipse group' or AD groups and 'AD group', even when there may only be 3-4 of those players in the group, and it's actually a high-RR 'random' group.
