Thanks to all the old time gamers! (fg vs fg)

I would like to say thanks to all those players that will /quit the game for good, or not play for some time.

We had some nice fights in old.emain or old.Daoc.

NF is just zerg, zerg, zerg imo

I hope it will calm down and we who had some nice fg fights can keep on having them.

I guess this Thread is most for hibs, sincer they were the once we met fg vs fg most, since alb ofc zerged. Tho /respect to AD!!!!

Not only that hibs lost GP which makes it hard for u with only one demezzer in a decent group. Hibs have had some big nurfing, and without gp and power relices, and 2 realms bashing on u, i really understand why some of u leave.
even tho u get more rps pr kill hihi

i think i speak for most Groove, Aurora Borealis and Blizzard members, those i have played with when i say this.

Myself, i will keep on playing a little more, dunno how long, but will check NF out for some time.

plz keep flames out of this thread, and yeh, its a thread to the fotm groups and powergamers, so casual players can also plz not flame here.

As u have noticed .. 90% of that alb/hib/midzerg are rr1-3 ppl .. PLed for NF etc. They are farmable with 1 fg if u use a liddul bit tictacs
So .. if hibs get nice grp with bard, 3 druids and 4 casters .. they can pretty much farm zergs IF they want .. not hard at all.

Jika, dont farm my thread! Still its not getting rps that is the case, and farm low rr powerlvled chars. whats fun is to actually have hard figths with good players and higher rr players, like random roleplayers or AD or Dem Hibbies etc. When fights was fun playing. I dont find it funny to kill a zerg over and over again. But to either die fg vs fg, or win fg vs fg of good players is fun.

but anyway, this isnt a point ov view thread, its more a salute to those players

well, he doesnt usually go in 2fg, but more like 10fg, and this thread was meant for those that did run in 1fg, cause i had lots of great fights with em. Not the the worst zerger of albion that i have had very few good fights with.

Gotta agree with you, the times of the best fg vs fg fights seem to be well and truely in the past. Don't feel sorry for the hibs though! They had power relics and GP for far too much time anyway, I'll never be sad that GP has gone.

It has been hard to find good fights in NF so far, but we have had some, maybe things will improve as we settle in and hopefully establish a new fg rvr zone, or the zerging will just go on and all the old.Daoc players will quit. I'm certainly tempted by WoW myself if that is the case.

The trouble is when you've rvr'd loads and you get to know the other high rr players and fought em a lot, won some, lost some, had a lot of fun, then a new patch arrives and a whole bunch of em quit/go inactive (like NP and DH) that's when the game gets a lot worse, although its often the changes from the patch that cause people to quit in the first place, it's kinda like a chain reaction.

If only mythic had left things as they were, not released SI or TOA and just focussed on making a decent RA system and balancing every single spec line in the game. I know that would have been bad for sales and a lot of people would have quit due to lack of new pve content but I'm sure some of the old.daoc players would have been very happy

I give respect to any fg who roamed emain in the hope of meeting the best grp from the enemy realms. The excitement of knowing they were out there and you might have the chance of a fight with them without adds was really what this game was about for me. If a fight lasted a long time then i didnt give a shit if I won or lost in the end as long as it was a close fight.

For some of us though all good things have come to an end. The circle of escapism has been broken (until Feb 2005)

agreed, was really ace from september to january in particular. savages were nerfed and albs had str relics, pure tank grps were competing well in fg fg rvr, (alb ones) hibs crap grps sucked, hibs good ones rocked. mids were well beatable and were mostly crawling around in fear. (I played as an alb back then)

Clearly uve never played ina hib rvr grp, dont speak pls ur voice means nothing.

Having played in all 3 realms, in gank grps for all 3, i can honestly say a hib caster grp was the hardest to go out and own with. Was alot easier with tank/caster mix however.

Mid was decent, tho if u saw 5+ tiarna's on ur screen, u werent sure whether youd be walking away with it. Vs good alb grps it would be a mare if they SOS'ed and boffed.

Hib, bad to begin with, decent after alot of messing about/practice. If we won mez, could expect to be walking away with it, tho this is rare, would more 'half' win mez and then have a messy fight.

Alb was good, Our sorc never lost mez, other than this 1 time i think, Amazing really, however if they were all demezzed too soon, or hippies gp'ed was basically a race to survive 60 seconds of the immunity. I would comment on what happened when we lost mez, but it never happened.

So really, cant bitch about imbalance, i found all realms to be equal, tho in alb if u dont have a good sorc ur screwed. Same as in hib if u dot have a good bard. Doesnt aplly quite so much to mid. Shitty pac's can pull something out of the bag.

Albion: Mercenary
Midgard: Berzerker
Hibernia: Eldritch
