It was the most tits up raid I've ever run . with over half the bg wanting to do the solo step first , I knew it was gonna take forever. But I let most of 'em do it anyway ! Then somebody ran of to the deserts of Atum with the severed head of Siraadi . so we did a few of the early steps some more .
Originally the BG was about 3 fg's , but numbers wained unsuprisingly when the raid had already taken 4 hours to finish the steps in Typhons reach . With some of those steps being done multiples of times . The named snake Haje-urae or someit became a regular pop on us and died a good 5 times . Finally entering into the Land of Atum we had 2 full groups. my bad navigating lead us to the Efreets first. The orb of Apollo went down smoothly . The next step taking out the Sphinx Ankhare , almost finished the raid for us . After telling everyone to set effects all so they could see the fire fields . some people thought they were invincible and ran full tilt into one , wiping most of us and leaving the others surrounded by the snakes that spawned from our dead bodies . Luck was on our side , and the encounter went smoothly enough though it did take us over 30 minutes to wipe out Ankhare . At this point Dinfar a ram carrier LD'ed, never to return . Fixamix one of the only 2 druids in the BG had to log , our level 42 VW was plagued with LD's . My group was left with 5 people , Codeines group was left with 6 . We were still gonna try taking on the Taur fortress , when Noisy Garbonnach Hot and Zucker came to the rescue. Making us 15 . 1 druid 3 bards not many tanks and a handfull of casters with nothing but insanity driving us to take on the Taur fortress . We won ! and we didn't even use a ram. (don't really wanna mention the total wipe as everyone clammered round the exit door and it blew up in our face doing us all about 4000 damage). Time for a quick regroup in Volcanus and off we set again , a few loggers a few additions we ended up with 15 people to do the Chimera . Needless to say we won . I don't know how but heres a BIG THANKYOU to all who came in our hour(ssssszzzzz) of need .
