i had a day off yesterday ( was ill ) and decided to head to bg with Asea and i had great fun with a load of infils chasing around the load of SB's chasing me, thanks especially to Zaberhut (think thats right) and Thamie who has a really nasty PA

this is not a flame by the way, it is an observation that in our new PvP guild i would say 20% or less are playing alb classes. and of those 20% the most are infiltrators.

also, i cant wait to get to thidranki with my SB, infs go down so easy

Oh yawn not another infils go down so easy. I recall taking down enough sb's with mine so i could say the same thing.

As for your PvP observation you can turn it round and say why are there 4 times as many infils being rolled than sb's if they r so bad. In fact as far as stealthers are concerned approx 20 out of the 27 so far are alb classes. Of course there are not as many other alb classes being rolled. A large percentage of the US are chanters and skalds as they r a strong class in the pvp environment. If the Alb pet classes were able to cast without LOS limits like chanters then i daresay they would be more popular.

Not really a fair comparison and considering 45% of excalibur population is Albion i think slightly inaccurate brother Krogar.

PVP = Stealther server.

pvp is a stealther server

that is so wrong its untrue.

stealthers might cause a bit of trouble in the early days. but without guild back up they are nothing really. it will be about good levelled, well organised guilds. just have a look at the guilds who hold all the relics on the us pvp servers atm. well balanced guilds.

ill be playing a runie on pvp, and i have to say i dont fear "the stealthers" too much, sure i KNOW i will get PA'd here and there, but 100% of the time i will be moving with a well balanced and strong guild group........if i get PA'd, and the stealther gets ganked by my buddies, i get rezzed, he releases, we move on to our objective - xp, hunting, relics, whatever.

@ darbey, you are overly negative to everything i post, its like some childish 1 upmanship with you.

i have posted on this forum numerous times.

in thidranki a SB > inf (most but not all times, dispute this if you will but i dont see it like that).
at level 50 - inf > SB indisputable

thats exactly my point, the infiltrator is the only albion class that competes and outstrips its "peer" classes from other realms. im not bemoaning that most of the alb class players are playing infs, more power to them, i want strong stealthers guarding my runie butt. im bemoaning the fact that the hib and mid classes in most other areas outstrip the alb variants.

music classes
healer classes
tank classes

you get the idea.

Pesonally as a caster player, I feel that stealth is ruining the game for us, I died 3x in Thid last night in 20 mins without casting a single spell. The grps meet ,we get in range and Bang 1 shot death for 3 of the casters, every Alb grp seems to have as many stealthers as visible players, the stealthers quite obviously come for us, but we have no defence whatsoever. there is no skill or evasion we can use, except running around and never casting, the second you stop they are on you and your'e dead.
The reason I'm whining is cos it's just a lottery, when I'm running from the keep there's no point in looking or being prepared, it's just wack dead!

Contraire Krogar, Im not overtly negative to what you say and if you care to read through the posts i have replied to you i have on occasion agreed with you. Just because i dont agree with you all the time doesnt mean its a 1 up thing. As far as this "in Thid a SB is better than an infil most of the time" , i very much dont agree. You speak from personal experience , well so do i. Bottom line , I think they are pretty even classes and its the player that is important.

I also agree with Job in that there are far too many stealthers and it does have an impact on the way other classes play and sometimes wish there werent. Problem is once you get them there they are one of the most fun to play.

yes stealthers are GREAT fun!

yes a good player a good class doth make great

but i still think a SB edges it at low level (24) cos high high front loaded damage with 2h weapon, and less RA or hps for characters to counteract that.
