Happy new year and welcome to 2006!
The TGE WAR Round 5 server has now been updated to include the Round 5 game code. The SQL databases have been migrated across from our test servers and as such the live server is officially ready for Round 5.
Web Addresses
-------------
The games web address will remain the same this round. We now also have the added benefit of a new domain name which we have purchased to save typing in the long URL. The available addresses are now:

Game Updates
------------
- New Mailing List option added to the Preferences screen (notifications of Round starts etc.)
- Forum bug fixed where the Italics and Underlined options were not working correctly
- SQL and Apache server patches & updates applied
- SQL injection filtering improved at the firewall level thanks to IDS/IPS/NIPS
- News page array bug fixed
- Ticker code optimisation
- New ships added including the Shadow, the Raptor and the Raider
- All new battle stats (milstats) to encourage building of larger ships
- PDS Shields upgraded to be stronger by adding more armour to each PDS unit per tick when activated
Round Information

The Round 5 ticker will officially start at 10:30 GMT on Sunday 15th January 2006.
Round 5 will officially end on Sunday 12th March 2006.
Ticks will remain at once tick every five minutes.
Important Information
---------------------
Remember to Delete Cookies before you try and sign up for Round 5. To do this with Internet Explorer 6 you need to go to the TOOLS menu -> Internet Options -> General Tab -> Click "Delete Cookies" -> Click OK
