Have just got a TFT monitor (NEC Multisync 1760) and it worked great on the standard analogue cable. Ive just bought a DVI D cable and the picture quality is abysmal and looks as if there is hunreds of red lines flashing on and off. The cable I got was a very high quality one so I dont know what the problem is.. Anyone have any ideas?

Have it sorted. Its a problem with Via chipsets that is sometimes solved by making sure lastest MB bios and 4 in 1 drivers are installed.

I had a similar problem with a dual CPU machine and the motherboards USB ports which just cut out after a couple of minutes, problem was VIA chipsets don't work well with dual CPUs and this is an Abit VP6 which is a dual CPU motherboard :/

That was the last time I bought VIA
