TFC update

i have CS retail and i recently upgraded to 1.1 but ive found i cant join any Team Fortress games ... instead i get errors saying im missing certain files

is there a TFC update around that will remedy this because i cant find it

The reason is that technically the version of HalfLife you get with the retail version of CS is crippled. Can you play the normal 1 player mode of HalfLife on your CS retail? No...Sierra meant it to be like that. I know it's possible to force TFC on the CS retail btu I really can't be arsed to go into it.

I'll see how I feel tommorrow...maybe I'll feel more helpful at work

There is an official fix for it over at http://www.counter-strike.net for it, but I think as nextwish put his fix up first and probably comes with extra levels u should use it instead. Grab it from http://www.nextwish.org it will be down the page on the right hand menu under cs somewhere.
