Any chance of having Textile formatting support hacked into the forums? BBCode is all very well, but it's a tad cumbersome.

Textile is an agile and intuitive shorthand for formatting that would be lovely to have, and as best I can determine, wouldn't interfere with BBCode for those who die by that.

There's a Textile example at Textism for those who've never come across it.

I don't know of a specific hack for vB, but as I understood it the vB hacks repository is a closed, members only affair anyway, isn't it?

Examples of textile:
Code:
*bold*
_italics_

"A link somewhere":http://somewhere.com

* A
* List
* With
* Bullets

# A Numeric
# List

Basically, it's a much cleaner and tidier syntax. Two characters for bold rather than 6. Lists ‘just happen’ rather than needing a [
  • ] wrapper around it.

that's actually quite nifty and pretty damn intuitive. I support!
