Is it really based on a true story? one person survived etc ive been looking all over the internet for true news reports etc.

has that 1 survivor ever spoken out? presumebly if shes not in a nut house..

it does kinda get you thinking though if it was true etc i mean would it suprise you in this day and age if something like that happend now?

all these American films being based on people who live out in the country IE Wrong turn and this i dont think il ever be visiting these weird towns ever lol

The version in cinemas now is like the 3rd remake of the original so is prob even further from the truth then back then.

It was VERY VERY VAGUELY based on the story of Ed Gein. The actual events (teenagers being massacred etc) never happened.

Err, you didn't read the replies then? It's NOT based on a true story, just inspired by Ed Gein

Oh, also, the first version of the film has a news report on the intro, it's still a work of fiction :)

Wrong Turn was suuuuch a loooooad of crap! It was cliché central! The ladies were quite yummy though. :) Does anyone have any good links to sites about hillbillies? I have heard some interesting things about them but I have never been able to find a site with any info to back this up. :/
