I broke all these trying to drill 4 fucking holes in my garage wall. Got so upset, couldn't get brother round as he is on holiday, naturally my first port of call has always been my dad :(

Anyway I decided to ring @Edmond for help, he popped round and, actually let me tell you I have been trying to drill these 4 fucking holes for 2 days and after several trips to Screwfix to buy every known type of drill, drilled the holes in less than 30 seconds per hole. Oh how I rejoiced. I showed him my collection of "not working anymore" drill bits, I could see two things, first, he was trying his hardest to not laugh, second, he had that look in his eyes which said "You are dangerous doing DIY, please stop".

I did find another 5 drill bits which must have been made with manufacturing defects like those in the image.

You've seemingly overheated every drill bit, and they no longer look like masonry drill bits :p

Out of interest, did they all have an arrowhead (little ears)?

No, that was related to my monitoring system being b0rked and not alerting me when space available was 0 bytes.
