Tesco store evacuated after 'bomb' discovery | Uk News | News | Telegraph

Police have carried out a controlled explosion on a suspect package discovered in a Tesco supermarket.

The store in the Eastville area of Bristol was evacuated this morning, with customers escorted outside a 400 metre cordon set up around the site.

Police believe the motives are criminal, rather than political, despite rumours that animal right extremists may be involved.

Hippys feeling they need to step up the act to get their message heard with bomb scares becoming the norm?
Or was it just a mouldy baguette left in a bag?

At least they found something and no one got hurt, except Tesco didn't make a few million in it's downtime :p

Police Chiefs claim that the tesco manager has found and killed the terrorist. In a later statement made by the manager he said "Tesco, Every little helps"

On a purely ironical note, I wonder if this was secretly set up by Panorama? xD Remember the whole "Fresh food" (meats/fish etc) thing? Where they were all secretly going off? Maybe this was just a quick way to make them stock food properly.

(Meh, on a 1/1000000 chance that could be true, cool - Minis being able to kill people)

they sent the people from the boots over there to work in our shop.
twas like 'dont worry, we wont stop you from working just because there's a bomb scare!'

it was a suitcase, according to the people i spoke to yesterday. "it fell off the back of a coach"
