Interesting, T3 was a pretty damn good film, so if they manage to keep the crew and cast for T4, it should also be a good watch. I'm not sure I'd want to see Arnie back, although of course they may be able to create a young arnie by using CGI, taking their scans from his earlier films?

I think T3 rounded off the trilogy pretty well, with a nice ending that brought the series to a satisfying conclusion.

Once again, market forces triumph over narrative integrity.

I thought as far as action movies go, T3 was good - but as Terminator films go, it was pants. As such, I decided to take it as just another fun popcorny action film and not consider it as a sequel to the other two films. I thought T2 had a fantastic ending and didn't need anything more tbh. As for this fourth one, well I'll be impressed if it ends up being as good as the third - a fun action film but not to be taken as part of the Terminator storyline.

I reckon you only think that because you saw T1/2 as a kid, nath. :) Though i thought T3 was a fitting part of the Terminator series.

But tbh, a Terminator film without Arny, isn't a Terminator film at all. Even if he's reduced to a cameo role, which was the news on imdb a couple of days ago.

It could be, or it could be that T3 basically said "All that stuff about no fate in the last one? Yeah, that was all bollocks".

Sorry Mostow or whoever wrote the screenplay, but who the fuck are you to say that? I liked the open ended finish to T2 - T3 just decided to destroy that completely which I thought was fairly lame.

T3 has to be one of the biggest trilogy tragedies ever to hit the big screen. The fact that there is a 4 just proves how many stupid people exist to write and direct these god awful destroyer of cinemas.

When will the madness stop? We all know why they are made. Money. It is the equivalent of kareoke pop that is currently destroying our music charts.

To be fair - I don't think T1/2 was made for the art.

They should have finished this series of films after the first one. The Terminator was a classic film even if the special effects didn't quite measure up to the second two. However they lost me as soon as they introduced the concept of a Terminator that couldn't kill people.

THAT'S NOT A TERMINATOR AT ALL YOU POLITICALLY CORRECT FAGGOTS!

Kinda like why most movies are made right? Not to showcase talent or to tell a story ... in the end it's all about the money.

People liked T3? I guess it's one of those things you'll only confess to on a forum :p

T1 was good. T2 was an 'ok' sequel, gave special effects where it lacked a story... but what was T3?

I wouldn't be surprised if T4 is rated "U", released during the christmas holidays as a "fun for all the family" film... and don't forget to buy your kids a Happy Meal with complimentary "Arnie Lightyear" action figure.

Anyway, bollocks. T2 is better than T1, and much better than T3.

The ideas for the T series is good and thought provoking. T2 was a good sequel playing with a few more ideas, fleshing out what the robots are like abit more. T3 fleshes out the story abit, giving abit more of all the robots backgrounds. Though I think they could have done abit better with it.

Maybe I'm remembering it all wrong though :p

A T4 could be interesting if they have some cunning ideas for the plot. I've got a feeling it might well just be "blow the hell out of that robot.. And that one." though. I severly hope it's not.

Look through his thread replies from his profile, nothing like a trying to increase your post count for no fucking reason.

Having recently watched t3 again, I can confirm I really do like it, and I though John Conner was spot on.

Yeah, kinda liked how they took the street wise, off the rails charactor of T2 and turned him into a wimp you wanna slap.

Class.

Excuse me but T2 was more then an 'ok' sequel, it was in fact a very good movie, far better then T1. In fact, T2 is one of the very very few sequels that surpassed it's original. This isn't just my opinion btw, but many believe that.
I have to agree on T3 though, it was crap. Just like Jurassic Park 3 was crap.
