They're mostly orange to a 50. Quite interesting fight, you'll want close to a full group for them.

Mobs are a ghost family and fight together. The one to the north has a sorcerer, smite cleric, enhance cleric, friar, 2h paladin and the house to the south has a fire wizard, theurgist, scout, minstrel (we believe), armswoman.

It's much easier if you fight them before they all buff each other up

Well, you must have been lucky then, I got to pick my 2 bracers and that was it and a lot of guildies did the quest as well and also got to pick 2 bracers and nothing more.
So bugged or not I wouldn't get my hopes up on getting more then 2 bracers from the quest.
