Excal playing pop at 10.30 - 2204. /who in albion 743. Leaves 1400+ online in the other 2 realms. I reckon there were more than enough hibs on to counteract the alb numbers in emain, but you chose to stay in df and just whine on here instead.

hib has about 400-500 on /who at primetime, and about 150-200 /who 50

Yep...was more relevant to the other thread. Oh well...

The /who was spot on though. Thats alot of people on in the other realms, even accounting for anons. The point was that all the stuff recently about pop imbalances arent currently matched by the real, online numbers. Would be interesting to see how it pans out over the next couple of weeks.

that's the number of people that got a whiff of RvR (1k+ lwrp) nevermind the gankers....

not a lot of difference really little bit more albs than the others but it's not the massive disparity people seem to think.

Now come NF when everyone and their brother will be in RvR and the gank groups move to mordred when they can't radar around emain 24/7 any more that will probably change but we'll see

I think there are a lot more Hibs who play alts actively in RvR than Albs.
The numbers you show don't show the problem. The problem is that Hibs yesterday had at the best 90 Hibs in emain, it was an incredibly rare occurrence to see that many Hibs out, and yet, by someone else's admission in this thread, there were 170 Albs in emain, that's just slightly less than double the number of Hibs. And that's the real overpopulation problem.
If you look at the number of actual active accounts that have over 1k rps it will give a closer indication of the population disparity, but even that won't be a true indication because quite a few people have access to a number of accounts.

I imagine the altage is probably a similar %age across each realm....

however at 15k+:

1 Excalibur Albion 348 35.58%
2 Excalibur Midgard 318 32.52%
3 Excalibur Hibernia 312 31.90%

50k+

1 Excalibur Midgard 105 36.33%
2 Excalibur Albion 103 35.64%
3 Excalibur Hibernia 81 28.03%

Maybe those 170 in emain just don't ever earn any RP (bearing in mind the phenomenal amount of bots at atk that's actually not too bad a theory that and the rp-share is a bit naff... though with 90 hibs that's 450 rp each if each alb kills half a hib )

/cg count in the emain cg is probably a better indicator.

Might also just be the "new patch" people checking out the new toys - hell people might even be playing their buffbots for a bit this patch

Will take another snapshot on friday or so and we can compare this week and see if it's had much effect.

I think that more people play alts actively in RvR in Mid and Hib because of the prevalence of optimal groups in Mid and Hib compared to Alb. It is pretty widely accepted that most Albs don't focus on optimal group setups whereas Mids and Hibs do (gank groups etc). For optimal group setups you end up asking people to play specific classes, in Hib at least that often results in asking someone to log on another char (warden/bard/druid), which isn't his primary char. There is also a huge number of accounts that are shared in Hib precisely because it's often hard to find the right support classes and with a low population it helps a lot in making groups if you have access to a variety of classes. I'm not saying it doesn't happen in Alb that someone gets asked to log on his mincer/cleric/sorc rather than another char, but I think it's less prevalent in Alb because of the lack of focus on optimal group setups and the larger population to select from. I know for example that in the last week the groups I've run in, have had maybe 16 different people, but about 40 different chars that they've played in that week all getting 15k+ rps.

Most alb groups in Battlegrounds are bigger than that 'zerg' let alone in actual RVR. thats more like 40 hibs, albs zerg in numbers of 160 ish.

but i think reason is i was full buffed and some nasty hib stole my dex n con

i used to have the tabfren staff from sidi which has 160 hp or something like that....and last night i was using traldor's....didnt you all run around a bit gimped while lvling your artifacts in rvr btw?

tbh i've been zerged far more times in the past 2,5-3 months than i got 10 rps per troll or firb i zerged. I never whine when i get zerged thats the game so imo everyone flaming on fh about albs zerging should keep up coz its fun reading to such posts =)

Emain zerg? Go odins. Odins zerged? Go farm pve stuff Noone to farm with? call ur girl.. or perhaps i should put it after Emain zerged thingy but different peeps got different priorities
