Agree with Ottar. Leave our milegates alone, they allow us to defend our realm and have some chance at catching those invisible enemies. Take out the ones in Emain if you want ... but leave our Odin's gates alone.

MG's only supply a good place to camp on, theres no tactics used at MG's ( except from gatehouse tactics ) it's plain and simple camping.

Thou Ottar I understand that you like MG's since you camp odin amg for 3hours without a single alb porting to Odins... great tactics....


btw, mg camping only build zergs

Its the alb pk that builds zergs. You need a minor zerg to even think about leaving your preciuos. Unless you are a stealther. Or one of thoose handfull albs that dare to wander alone.

Ok I forgot that, yes Albion is the only realm that zergs.
I would like to apologize to all those many many many mids who wander around solo and in small groups, its so true albion is the only realm who zerg and camp mg's.
I am very sorry.

Considering the kill/death ratio we are consistently achieveing, it is advanced enough.

Now read that sentence again and try to find a glaring contradiction in it.

Very true. That people commonly camping AMGO have attention spans up to and above 3 hours is certainly helping alot. Patience, in most cultures, is considered a virtue. Dashing for instant gratification is not.

imo camping is boring. But if someone enjoys it ... well up to them ...

Only Emain has this problem.. so if you do not like it do not go there ..simple..

and as for turning the gates around er yes great to the home realm has to attack a MG? er no

the MGs are for the defense of the home realm not for the ease of the attackers :)

MGs add neutral buildings to the game (which there should be more of like empty villages etc etc would make RvR even more tactical and fun )

You shouldn't be able to target the gate and cast spells on it.

But still let bugged chanter pets nuke through them :p

Personally, I think milegates standoffs can be fun, but I pitty the poor armsman with his xbow :p

By that arithemtic, SoTL has 10 active RvR members?

By dividing your weekly RP (2m) by your membership (71) I get 28k rp. By doing same with Onslaught, I get 22k. A bit less but not by all that much.

If you understand that, why then are you implying in your post above that your definition (200k weekly rp to be considered active in RvR) is universal?

Moreover, if this is considered true, surely then is something wrong with SoTL guild structure, if only one in 7 of your members is active in RvR?

I think the Hibs have to come along and protect their territory - maybe if they could insta port into DC that might help? If the mile gate campers got zerged from both sides at once that would teach them a lesson and make them a bit more wary!

I levelled up to 41 having enjoyed the BG, but was really disappointed when I got to do "real" rvr in emain. I even tried suggesting that everyone camping gate should go and claim some keeps and stuff and people said "Camping mile gate is more fun than hitting a door".

Maybe when you get the XP bonus for holding keeps that might encourage keep taking. What about siege weapons anyway? I've only ever seen one ram - are they too expensive to make or what? Surely getting balistas and catapults sieging a defended keep is more fun than mile gate camping?

Anyway I won't be levelling up past 41 until the new RVR dungeons come along - they sound like fun and I want to have a few levels to do them in! Maybe these new dungeons might give something more interesting to do in RVR too?

Hopefully...

Could have said any realm. Point is, Milegates suck and are designed for casters with PBAOE.

nerf AoE targettable doors and i might get through one day ;)

And if you can find a way to use pbaoe at a milegate w/o getting ae stunned/rooted/messed I think a lot of people would welcome your suggestion.
