Doesn't matter on which floor you are, you are still standing on something, right? And gtae is supposed to be able to do that, while your pet isn't supposed to cast through walls. Quite a difference there...

Why aren't pets supposed to do that?

And yes GTAE is shit dmg o_o And fire wiz is getting better the DD is getting faster cast, dont think everyone will have a good GTAE

2 x GTAE will do that.


And your pet is broken...rest assured it will be fixed (read nerfed) sooner rather than later ! and you know why ? Our beloved friends on the dreds' will take care of that, just like they brought us the removal of lvl based to hit modifiers. Mythic cant afford to maintain 2 code bases (imo) so any caster class too powerfull on the dreds *will* get nerfed and the nerf will go live on the RvR serves as well.....

windchasers are a sort of pet with targetted aoe if i remember. since my llv 5 char was killed by danyan little pet when it targtted leah my bard.

i got the idea that a grouond targetted spell would be like a grenade, explode on contact with the ground, regardless if someone is there??? that right???

I think the way our group dealt with your pbaoe'rs tonight was quite clever. We left you in the Lord's room and buggered off someplace else. That way you had to either stay there and have a sleep, or come out into the open.

And that's exactly what happened. Much more entertaining for us than running up the stairs and dying, and leaves you with a nice wood bill to pay

Sadly your more plentiful supply of mezzers showed in the end - and we lost, but was very close and we sure made a lot of rp's.

I know this won't go down very well with sorcerers, bards and healers -- but I'm so looking forward to mezz being nerfed. At the beginning of the battle 99% of both sides were mezzed, sitting there looking at each other for a minute and a bit

Crowd control will still be important, but it won't be the be all and end all of RvR as it is right now.

Yes some people, as will always happen, wandered off to do their own thing -- so you zerged 4 people, wow, have a cigar. As for the door we were a bit slow getting our casters into position (too many archers and not enough shield tanks), as soon as they were in position and aoe'ing back there were no more fatalities.

From the point of view of the Albs who stayed it was better to fight in the open and have a chance of winning than rushing to the Lord's room and handing you the rp's on a platter. At the end of the battle I counted you had three people left alive ... not bad considering (as posted above) that we had one sorcerer to your (I think) 2 bards.

Come and earn those RP's from now on, no more hand out's

You're taking things mightily too serious there Zedorf old fella Shield tanks guard the mages from the archers.

My post concerned our use of tactics to bring you boys out of your hidey hole. And it worked well ... so, we lost this time -- there is always next time. And at least we returned to Albion with some rp's and some pride. Running up those crappy stairs (don't you guys have architects?!) and getting blasted by loads of mages without a chance to defend yourself isn't much fun.

Hibs mezzed, that is the sole reason why they won at bolg, everyone was mezzed for the whole duration by which time there weren't enough people left standing to mount a decent defence because hey! mezzed again as soon as was possible..

Not bitter, but once 1.53 comes into play and tanks purge is cheaper, then the field shouldn't be so one-sided


(and yes, i was fecking bored when i got mezzed, went and read a book to pass the time)

If you get mezzed up to 5 times in a keepraid, i dont think youll be able to make good advantage of purge.

Not only that, us hibs have a bucketload of void spec eldies, which will get the GTAE too (more than earthspec wizzies for sure). So it'll all depends on the fastest trigger finger, and me thinks people who are already staning in the lord's room will have an advantage to people running up the stairs.
