When does the burning sensation go away?

Err, depends on you and where you are tattooed, but for most people I think its the next day. For me its just a few hours, but I've got a fair amount done, and more planned.

got a tribal on the upper arm - now I find that my aeroplane saeting (seat A) means it will probably be rubbing away against a fat americans arm.
