I'm guessing the respect you gave them in game for their playstyle wasn't under the normal definitions of the word given your attitude on these forums. So to answer your questions, people can't respect players in-game because people in-game are people like yourself.

Hmm maybe they think they own everything and want people to think as they do, from history equal thoughts and ideas has not allways been a great thing.
This game is not about 1 v 1 but there are alot of game that r:
Chess (my favorite), crackers, othello, Ludo (dont play more than 2 peps here if u dont like add), Tennis (not dubble), Squash, Golf, Archon (the one from commodore 64, was great fun), A lot of those atari games cant mention all coz dont remember all, Duel, Starcraft (play only 2 here u can play more but might get add), Warcraft (same as starcraft go only 1v1 here also), 1 one one basket, card games (some can also be played solo), and much much more...
None of them above is called DAOC.. so DAOC is not about 1v1, but the great thing with DAOC is that u can try 1v1 but on ur own risk. I recomend those who want 1v1 go on a secure chatt channel and say: meet me in XXX rvr zone far away from bridges keeps, so no one can see us (darling /kiss /bow hmmm..). Now that cant be that hard can it?

Ohh Fangyboy ... thats just as bad .. imo all the running to xxxx zone where u risk of getting gank banged on the way .. some might call it to be zerged or steamrolled by passing fg's.. that creates just as big whines here on FH ... its a no go ...
A Fact is that 1vs1 has to be really close to bridges or the addressing peninsulas else it takes to much energy (buff/run time) getting there and that might ruin the fun of it .....
we can't have that .. i meen come on how can we be so insensitive about soloers it allmost sets them a side with smokers and there ban from indoor areas (works, restaurants, cafe's)
Thats so /rude of us imo ....
No we have take the waight of the soloers on ourt shoulders and let them /cry about the add's / disrespect of there game preferensies

ahh allright guys, you convinced me. From now on If I notice someone fighting a solo fight, stealther vs stealther or whaterver class it is, I will just go add and kill everything in sight.That must give me many new friends, isn't that right guys? Because they cannot be angry at me because this is a mmorpg game. Thanks for your advices all, I will begin to make new friends from now on everytime I log on. WoW that feels great!!!
