You may be a bit busy at the moment and perfectly reasonably think you've got another 30 or 40 years to make sure you've caught up. You're probably right. But if you're not you've no idea how much it will hurt. Do it now. Please.

Is this thread towards anyone in particular or just a general advice post?

My bro and myself have been at loggerheads for a few years I admit because we used to be cooped up in the same room due to my mum being a bitch about the size of house we could afford, since I moved out, we still see each other often and are good mates as well as brothers, i'm not really sure about whats happened with you Wij but I have to agree with the message, if you've got a brother, don't ever lose out on seeing him.

Sorry, didn't really want to spell it out. Mine died on Friday. Make the most of yours while you still can. You'll never get another.

Horrible news, really sorry to hear about your loss bud :(

I was at odds with my own brother for the last couple of years and everytime we got together it just seemed to end in an arguement or bad feeling. There was a huge family row at Christmas that kind of forced us to address the issue and thankfully we now seem to be getting on better than we have in a long time.

The advice Wij is very important to take on board, you never know when your chances to make amends might run out. I suppose to old adage stands, never go to bed on an arguement.

Take care Wij, our thoughts are with your and your family.

I'm very sorry for your loss Wij, and wish you and your family the best for the future.

Don't feel guilty, people say and do all kinds of things but they don't really mean it.

I never fell out with my brother. I just didn't make enough time for him recently. Just take my advice and be the kind of brother you'd want to yours while you can.

It is always a shock when things like this happen, nothing in the world can prepare you for it. when my bro passed away few years ago, it was at a time were my mum and him wasnt on speaking terms as such [Women...] and so i didnt see him for about 2-3 months.

Then it come out of the blue being told he was involved in a bike accident... It didnt concern me too much because, you just never expect it happening, then i was told.

Although ive fallen into the same trap again in a sense, purely down to myself not seeing them though, aint seen my other bros in quite a long time, which is why in some cases things like this get you thinking sometimes its far too short

Just see them. I only had one brother. Unless they've touched your kids or something nothing is so big that you shouldn't be able to just forget it and get on. Just forget about who said what and when and why. Have a pint and a laugh. As often as you can. You don't get another go once they're gone.

I know how you feel :(

Wish I could say that things get better, but to be brutally honest, there will always be something missing in life. Always...

Sorry to hear this Wij.

I was just chatting to my mum the other day about how my eldest sis lives the other side of town yet I've seen her about twice in the last 6 months.

I shall be getting in touch with her soon and more often.
