Top song though.

How old is it exactly?

Had the pre-release mp3s in august, Album came out in september. So forgive me if I'm a little tired of it (and infact, much of the album - the original has more staying power. Less refined perhaps, but more catchy for long periods of time)

No denying they're a great band, we'll see just how big the influx of 12 year olds with hoodies of "this new band" (soad) though. I expect it'll be big :(

not to impressed by them to be honest, too depressing for me. They'll sell out pretty soon if they already haven't.

I very much doubt they'll "sell out" as you put it. Serj Tankian (the lead singer) is very strong in his social/political views (akin to Zack from RATM).

The first SOAD album was great because of it's rawness. I really like Toxicity for the musical ambition in the songs, you have to admire what they're aiming to achieve.

Ignus, have you actually listened to the lyrics on the album? There are very few parts i'd describe as depressing. Most of it is fairly funny actually.

not really my kind of music mate I just find what I've heard so far depressing compared to what I'm used to, and political songs these days do annoy me. Funny political songs died with Sid Vicious.
I recomend Feeder's new track just a day, feeder have been around for years and have only recently been noticed as the talented band they are, unfortunately by the wrong people.

Feeder rock. Both Just a Day, and High, off their previous album are masterpieces. All in all they get a big Kris Akabusi thumbs up.

Why do so many computer gamers like metal? Surely, with our close link to technology, we should all be listening to pounding techno, or at least some good industrial music.

Oh look, you already posted my reply. Metal does own the worlds most repetative song ever, with Pantera - Walk. Techno seems very interesting and tuneful after listening to that one.:D
