Synology and Kodi

Anyone know how to get NFS shares working off a Synology with Kodi? I've followed various walkthroughs to set it up on the Synology side and I still can't get Kodi to find the shares. Don't have a problem with Plex, but I wanted to install Kodi because it gets around some format issues I'm having with my current Plex/Roku setup (I've bought an Android thing with Kodi installed because it will play back MKVs, whereas Plex on a Roku won't). Is there some little trick or config I should be looking out for?

I've got it working. Used a different how to guide that set up the permissions differently and suddenly there were the files.
