Are the style and melee dmg cumulative (or one applied and then the other) or if you swing unstyled melee dmg bonus is applied and when you style the style dmg bonus?

It depends alot on the class m8 ... Style damage is alot more important in classes like Assasins where u get a large +Style bonus for moves like CS line ...

But for high weaponskill melee damage is more apparent like light tanks etc

I dont think they are Cumulative tho ... then again i aint done any tests ;)

Damage is split into two portions, base melee damage and style damage. Both are based off another value, style damage is not based off melee damage.

So, +melee damage affects the base melee damage portion (the bit that doesn't change value when hasted), +style damage affects the style damage portion.
