yeah i find it strange that a good game (tactically both teams are sound and they are all giving 100%, good tackling, fast pace etc) is rubbish just because it is 5-4 at halftime.

Ukraine won 3-0 on penalties. Switzerland were so poor they couldn't even score in the penalty shootout.

Switzerland had a good tournament on the whole & got further than they have for decades. They also became the first team to get knocked out of a world cup without conceding a single regular goal if I'm not mistaken. That was also their first ever penalty shoot-out so not really surprising the nerves got to them. They did very well for such a small country & played very well as a team. The Euro-2008 should be a good chance for them to go even further.
