On a more serious note it sounds alot more deadly than it actually is, you don't have a 100% mortality rate from swine flu, cases that arent reported/seen to generally die, treated case that are diagnosed fast generally live.

sorry i may be repeating what someone else said but i read as far as the "disagreement" between a couple of you kids and skipped the rest.

Its probably fucking orrible to have it but its nothing to keep you up at night (this is the topic of the swine flu here btw). We get new breeds of the virus periodically and theres usually a fuss and then we build immunity and it piffles out. I believe the last majoy flu "pandemic" (fuck me i hate that word lol, all it means is a bug that is not confined to one country but the media are using it to scare people) was after WWII the spanish flu wiped out loads but the rest who survived got through it and tbh back then medical knowledge wasnt as good as it is now, and we're also globally more prepared for this because of things like SARS and bird flu (storm in a tea cup anyone?)

though, also we didnt travel as much back then so outbreaks were probably easier to contain, still no need to go panicking about it.
