loads of crap has been said about swg, nearly everyone saying its the worst game ever etc. but i've been waiting for it for years now, and im still getting it. but what i wanna know, is is it really that shite. just read an IGN review thing of it, giving it 8/10 and saying its got some probs etc, but will get better as time goes on.

any beta testers out there that have anything to say about it? even if u say its cack im getting it tho. so i'll just ignore u.

Not sure tbh, But yeah alot of people been saying alot of problems which need to be sorted, But hey, They all have problems to start, Then people start whining, Then things get balanced, Then people whine some more and it hits rock bottom :(

I watched a few friends playing it... didnt see anything special in it which made me want to buy it :) graphics are good tho

i was in the beta in it .. and it surely did sux... ok if its ure first mmporg id recomend it... if ure a complete starwars fan id recomend it... if ure a hardcore mmporger whose looking for sumthing diffrent then ure basic mmporg id say completely uterly no

I've been playing it for about a month now, and I'm deeply in love.

It indeed has it's problems tho most of which don't affect me because I don't care about how uber I am, nor play any of the more troublesome professions.

I think the best thing about it is the sheer variation of what you can do with your character, you can go pure combat, combat/support, dedicated crafter, you can start a dancer or musician and entertain the battleweary travelers, you can learn to tame the creatures that roam the various planets and use them to either tear up your foe, or sell to the entertainer who thinks a Rancor is the perfect match for her dress (tho, tbh rancors can't be sold, but you get the idea :p ). or you can make a combination of them all (within limits).

ofcourse, you're limited to how many skills you can have (250 skillpoints worth. the higher the skill level, the more it costs) but thanks to untraining you can safely experiement, all it costs is time, as you'll only get the skillpoints back, not the XP needed to "boy the skill"

besides that, due to a gigantic amount of possibilities in looks and clothing, it's hard to find 2 characters that look the same.

personally I find it highly enjoyable, but if you're a stat whore it might not be for you.

it does sound leet. im a big starwars fan, and quite an experienced mmorpger.. im definatly gonna at least try it. if i aint addicted within a month i'll quit

Ive been asking myself the same questions, i was in the beta then and it had something special about it.

2 people miles from anywhere watching the sunset go down whilst letting of fireworks was kinda nice ;)

But then it was annoying running for miles and taking half an hour "real" time to get somewhere.
I didnt get that deep into it as my daoc addiction kicked back in :D


Is there some sort of speed like minstrels in DAoC, something to make me run faster ( apart from burst run :p )
