SWG Crashing problem

K i just bought swg, it installs fine, upgrades fine, then when i get to the character selection screen, i choose my race and gender, click on next, then it crashes and system locks up completely.

P4 2.4 HT
512meg pc3200
Radeo 9600 pro
IS7-E mobo (abit)

when xp starts up agfain, it says the problem lies within my gfx card, but ive done everything concievable to change the settings, ive rolled back drivers, installed newer ones, reinstalled, uninstalled, same problems all the time, help!

What version of DirectX are you using?

My mate plays SWG with a 9600pro so thats not your problem mate.

I've heard this one before, you need to switch something simple off like vsync (can't quite remember what it was), use the options link on the screen where you click PLAY and try fiddling a bit

Might also be looking in your bios at the gfx options (I cant play Op Flash unless I set my card to 64mb even though its a 128mb) it could be something in there with your AGP bandwidth (8 or 4 X) or the memory size.
