In pc games (especially mmo's) all you ever see are Swedes and Danes. They speak really good english and are usually good gamers. Plus they have similar humour to English people (sarcasm being one similarity).

I love Swedes and I love Danes.

I dont love the fact Swedes have no idea what Crumpets are or Custard....that really pisses me off, but I can live with that.

The reason for getting up on the soap box is a great new idea I had. Why not merge Sweden and Denmark....Then you'd have super powers and everything! You'd have Sauna's smelling of Bacon (Dukat would love that) and other such stereotypical mixings.

But seriously, can you merge the countries please? Then I only have to learn one language. SweMark, or DenDen.

You can't expect full on epicness from the films, as they are seperate stories, i found it rather good however.

Actually I usually dont understand a single word swedish people said.

But most Danish people do... remember i was in Danish Huscarls Vent on voicetalk and they had a swedish guy on it. Had to ask someone to explain each time he said anything... I think he hated me for that, but honestly dont understand anything swedish people understand.
English, Deutch, Spanish, those are easy to understand.. Swedish... impossible...

Holland invaded Sweden? Other than a lot of Dutch folk settling down in Sweden in the 16-hundreds and helping design and build Gothenburg for example, I didn't know they invaded us?

And did Finland kick out Swedes from Finland? I thought that was the Russians kicking us out when the Swedish baltic "empire" crumbled. And then Finland became its own country around WW1. I am honestly not sure about these things, to my shame, but I thought that's how it happened?

And about Swedish and Danish as languages. They are very similar, but.. I think Danes have an easier time understanding Swedish than Swedes have understanding Danish, due to the the more guttural pronounciation of Danish plus a few words here and there being different. Swedish and Norwegian feels more similar though.
