Swapping Speaker Channels

I have a couple of speakers screwed into the wall, and after upgrading from Win2k to XP, for some unknown reason the speaker channels have swapped over. Is there a means of swapping channels within XP itself, so I don't have to rip the speakers out of the wall and re-locate ?

would it not be easier to swap the plugs around in the back of your soundcard?

Single plug into an AC97 on-board sound socket.

Some programs have a "Reverse stereo" option. Unfortunately, it would appear that Windows XP is not one of them. So it looks like you're stuck either trying to find a third-party solution (I don't know if many sound card manufacturers include a "Reverse stereo" option, but Creative doesn't), rewiring your plug, or the third option...

...get some cable bits and "munge it".

So if you split your 3.5mm jack into dual phono, then use another connector to put it back to 3.5mm with the stereo flipped.

It's not pretty, but it'll work, and doesn't involve taking anything to pieces.
