Surrender. WTF??????

I (Solo) watched a Hib (Emil I think) kill an alb at the ruins on the Hib side of BG1 (a duel perhaps?).

I had just killed a NS and had no end and 75% hp, the Hib had 75% hp too, so I thought a fair fight was coming up

I fired my bow using the last of my endurance and ran to the Hib who was standing on the wall. She tried to mez me and I resisted but I couldn't hit her, so I went around the wall, she mezzed me again...... and then she did the /Surrender emote... finally I came out of mezz and she mezzed me again (agghhh)... and did the /Surrender emote again.... wtf is all that about?

Unbeknown to the Hib I had left "Kylie" my Wolf, ravishing the bones of the dead NS, so I called her over and whilst I was still mezzed the wolf earned me an RP from the emoting Hib.

I then got a few pm's (via #CelticFist IRC) from mids, saying I should have let the Hib live as the Hib had surrendered... wtf???????

Am I supposed to take the Hib prisoner or something and lock them in Jordheim (that would be fun )? Or wait for them to regen hp and watch them to kill me later?

Can anyone just surrender?

Have I just broken some Thidranki protocol????

Lots of discusions about this sort of thing, killing greys etc.

Now personally I don't kill grey cons unless they attack me. But as for surrender - no chance - if you are out in RvR land, expect to be killed!

Oh, and standing on the wall so you can't hit them seems a little bit close to bug abuse to me - just like using a structure to kill mobs while they can't get at you

um no thats called using your resources around you not bug exploiting its easy to get on top of that structure.
as for surrender if its any of the new classes forget it there overpowered as it is so im glad to send them back to there pk to port back if its blue con lower and i know i could paste em all over then i might leave em

/surrender is just a way of saying ok i giv up it doesnt mean damn i better stop killin this dude its your choice whether or not you want to show mercy.

got a blue luri down to 5% and it /surr, left it sitting, ran away. came back with stealth and shot it with my cross bow

Oh and dont worry mate, if they really didnt want to get killed then surely that would have sodded off when they mezzed you.

well lets put it this way i killed more infs than they have killed me, and casters well one shot jobbies ALL of em if pa dont get em poison does albs sorta crap in bg even took a paladin out only one inf i thought of as an equal that was sallyicytale now he WAS good.
of course mid and alb now got there uber chars necros u cant even touch unless theres 2 of u and bonedancers with there insta win buttons

just a shame you arent in bg karnage so i can kick your butt back to alb maybe ill level to 35 and pay u a visit in caledonia

Was obviously a Bard, think he/she may have been playing games with you coz bards have no really strong offensive capabilities, and prolly thought in a straight fight he/she would lose.

when i've finished lvling Kane to 35 (33 atm)

will start lvling some more chars to 24 just for the BGs

gonna have a reaver, a scout and 2 infils

well i do have an account with a lvl 7 cleric on it... just cba to lvl it up... would also mean i'd have to finish building my 2nd comp... which won't happen any time soon, but i could if i really wanted to


oh and ur SZ gone past 35 yet? cos i have to show u how much pwnage is gonna be dished up to you on a plate

my shadow zerker is waing for shrouded isles as goa r not giving meh subscription password teh blighters tbh!!

But yer hes still 35 he wears 92 af full set of armour bit to high but nyeh.

So that means ure going to make a thidrank buff bot mwha ha haah i knew it

whether u make friends with someone or not is your choice (and theirs if tehy decide they dont want to be friendly)
whether you let someone live or not is your choice (unless they kill you )
