So.

Got a dual P4 rig but Supreme Commander only seems to use one of the CPU's. :(

Is there a patch/setting/anything like that that anyone's heard of? A quick look around the web has turned up the usual - bugger all :)

The game was in development for so long that I wouldn't be surprised if there was no intention, or no way, to put dual core support in the game.

How many games use dual processors these days anyway?

On my AMD64 4800 Dual core with the game running in high detail on two monitors (1 widescreen), 1 core runs at about 100% and the 2nd core runs at about 50% when playing the campaign missions. But i also run the x64 operating system which apparently has better dual core support. Dont know if that makes a difference.

Sounds quite odd as SupCom was reportedly designed for multi cores.
And from listening in to alot of community chatter it sounds like it does just that. i dont have 1 myself so i dunno but most people seem to say it runs smooth on theirs.

Not running a dual-core CPU - I'm running multiple CPU's. (2xP4 3.2 HT's) :)

I suppose I can mess around with processor affiniti but it's not the same as native support.

Update :)

Just disabling all (and I mean all non-essential processes (including disabling antivirus etc.) seems to make the game use both processors properly.

If there's other programs active then the game seems to prefer one processor or the other without splitting processing time very efficiently between them...
