They are clearly not (except Muttley maybe).

Winston is a great name for an exceptionally ugly cat. Preferably one thats borderline fat.

And Maggie would be a superb name for hostile cat.

Muttley is for a cat that behaves like its a dog.

For the same reason that we have "Boys" names and "Girls" names.

You wouldn't call a boy Sarah, and you wouldn't call a cat Winston or Muttley when you would call a dog by those names.

why wouldn't you call a cat Muttley? There is nothing wrong with the name, you could equally call a boy Sarah if you wanted to, there is no law against it (admitted the poor little sod would get the piss ripped out of him).

Pet's names are all down to preference, if someone wants to call a cat Muttley, then why not :D

(Please don't take this as being pissed off, or offensive in any way :D)

Winston and Maggie are a little "right wing", no ? :)

In any case, naming will be up to their new owners, I'm afraid we don't have the time, patience, finances or room for six cats in the house. If anyone is serious about wanting a kitten in around 4-6 weeks time (after weaning), then give me a PM.

We may keep one, probably a male, depends, I'm sort of inclined to call him "Becks" in honour of our beloved goalscorer on this glorious day, but most likely it will be called "Bob" by my step-son, who is "owed" one kitten.

Winston and Maggie may be a little right wing, but Neil or Tony are positively terrible names for a cat.

Ours is called Jasper, it really suits him, cheeky little ginga he is. Our neighbours adopted a little girl kitten, called Lil (as in Lily). Lil grew up and developed dangly bits, they still call him Lil though :)

Lil is Jaspers bessie mate, they hang out together all day, wrestle, smoke fags behind the shed, check out chick cats etc.

Because it goes against all my childhood cartoon upbringing. :D
