But they're still sunglasses. A decent top or jacket I could understand spending that kind of money on, but sunglasses? Not me, soz.

Why not just buy a welding mask? Far superior, plus you don't need that brown paper bag anymore.

I'm afraid all the sunglasses shown in this thread so far look like shit.
Do you get a free "MAX POWER" sticker for your forehead with them?

Get on ebay my freind.

Check out items that are available to the UK A lot of the American and Canadian traders have good reputations and are willing to ship to the UK. Most items are brand new. Prices cheaper than the UK as well

more power to you for your sense of fashion and style, it is after all individual...

However, Max Power is a car magazine and not dedicated to sunglasses in any way... so Im not sure why you would get a sticker or why you would even bring it up.

Depends what you do I guess.. I cant understand why you would want to spend 200quid on a top... but then thats my perogative. I am however glad I spent 150quid on my M Frames, one day I was out mountain biking and tanking along a trail, didnt notice a tree branch and it whipped right across my eyes. The MFrames potentially saved my sight. Cheaper sunglasses would have smashed. I dont mountain bike anymore but I still wear Oakleys because they are top quality sunglasses, I think they look good and suit me, and thats what matters.

... i use mine not so much for British weather but when im abroad in S.Africa and after a week of squinting kinda hurts. My old ones had changeable lenses so i used em for Snowboarding and they were much nicer then bulky goggles i found.

These are fucking cool tbh.

In pewter with red lenses. Oakleys aer teh sex. I've had Oakleys for about 10 years now and I'd never touch another brand of sunglasses. They're comfy as fuck, brilliant for golf and driving, even a spot of snowboarding aswell. Plus Square Wires v2.0 with fire lenses look the dog's bollocks.

I just went for some new prescription glasses and they were doing a deal on sunglasses so I went for some Police ones. Damini thought they looked quite nice on me which I suppose is what matters (partially :p).

I don't usually like any sunglasses much. They tend to make people look like peadophiles, geography teachers or the eighties vision of the future.

So he's putting them on, and each time its "yeah, they're ok." "yeah, they're ok." "yeah, they're ok.", and then he put on these ones, and its shnarf, grr and Hello Mister! Bizarre.

I'm currently wearing these: http://www.oakley.com/ostore/eyewear/polarized_xx/

Second pair of Oakley's I've owned and i think i will stick with the brand - these ones are a godsend when i am diving and looking over the bow of a boat - and to my suprise, a great help when it comes to driving in very heavy rain (monsoon type). Don't care what others say, my chick thinks i am so "ooh sexy man!" :)

I'll get my glasses....

I have a pair of prescription sunglasses with amber tinted lenses. they do me just fine, and if I'm honest I'm a bit frightened of getting an (overly) expensive set of glasses as I tend to drop/break things like that.
I'd rather invest in a decent watch.

I got these the other day. X metal frame with blue polarised prescription lenses. And some normall prescription Oakley glasses as well.
Very expensive but worth every penny. Very pleased with both, i doubt ill ever buy another make of glasses. They put every other pair of glasses ive ever had to shame.

I really like them, very comfortable. Feel quite heavy in the hand but are fine when your wearing them. The lenses are supposed to be some of the best around and i cant disagree.
Your local premium dealer should have a pair to try on.

I paid about £200 for the Juliets and then £170 for the polarised lenses. I think it was £160 for the non polarised. You can pick whatever colour lenses you want. It shows colours available on the 'prescription lens options' bit.

Try a few pairs on and see what you think.

Edit: They only go down to -4 on the Juliets. Do you know what your prescription is?

Result. You might want to try the same, Mista.

Ive had a pair of Eye Jackets for about 5 years now and Ive had 3 new frames. As long as the lenses arent damaged, Oakley will replace the arms free. If they dont do the same colour, they replace the whole frame with a new one.

Now thats service. :)
